PPV numbers should be real good $$. I honestly dont think Chavez can make the 160 limit comfortably anymore. He is walking around at 185 or so right now. He is a big kid and I didn't doubt he was the stronger fighter in there. But the last minute after Martinez got knocked down said alot about him as fighter. He stood up and traded with Chavez and Chavez just couldn't do it. AT this point Martinez was a 1 armed fighter. I definitely have to say Chavez Jr. gets hit way too much and that chin of his is ready to crack.

The writer is correct, but after all, boxing is a business, and it makes good business to dwell on "what might have been" snd promote a return.
I did think that he could have picked better examples than the Conn and Taylor fights. Conn was ahead on 2 cards and Louis could still have won on points. One judge had it even. It was like the Marquez-Pacquiao fights in that Louis was expected to walk all over Conn.
If the Taylor fight had gone to the judges it would have been a split decision for Taylor, although this fight was a better example than the Conn fight because he was well ahead on 2 cards.
The Moorer-Foreman fight is a better choice I think, because unless Foreman knocked him out, there was no way he could win. And the recent Bailey-Mike Jones fight is another good example where Bailey was ahead on all cards with no way to win except by a KO.
But neither of these as return fights would pay as they'd likely do poorly at the box-office.
