Lmao @ people still having manny at num1. i know P4P is matter of opinion but its logical for a fighter who lost his last fight to drop. i didnt have him number 1 before he is def around 4 5 at best. ward i put in based on resume recent opponents winning super 6 beating the lineal LHW champion and being the unified SMW champion he is number 2 easy. With floyd still number 1. roy jones stayed at num 1 until he lost which put bhop there until he lost which put floyd there until he took time off came back to reclaim his spot. JMM mosley ortiz cotto is enough to stay at number 1. manny lost his last fight he was number 2 for me so he drops a few spots and ward and martines moves up to 2 and 3 spots. fight went as i expected except for the stoppage and knockdowns. i was expecting a dominated UD for ward. he is better than chad in every way. chad like direll and devon and paulie. want to box 24/7 but faced against a better boxer and someone who can adapt and throw a monkey wrench in your plans they crack.

I must eat a big plate of crow, I didn't think that Ward was this caliber of a fighter and I doubted him. I'm fully convinced now that he's a special fighter.

With that said, Dawson was nowhere near 100%, and as he put it, "couldn't get off". It does hurt the win in what will be viewed as Ward's biggest name on his resume. Had he gone up to 175 it would have been a huge legacy fight for him had he won in similar fashion.

I give props to Ward for fighting Dawson and getting the TKO.I also give Props to Dawson for going down in weight and wanting to fight the best at 168. Dawson showed a lot of class in defeat did not make any excuses maybe down the road Ward could fight Dawson at 175 in a rematch. Ward is one Bad a** fighter in his prime B Hop was right about him.
