its hard not to argue floyd. floyd actually got better with age in many ways. toney didnt. he simply did not have the dedication to take his craft to the next level. hes a hof'er no doubt. but he could have been one of the greats.

When they are in top condition it is fairly close, but Floyd is always in top shape and Toney almost never is.

Floyd is the better boxer by a landslide. He is more skilled, faster, smarter, and was always far more dedicated. Floyd is always in shape, and always comes into the ring looking better than before.

Toney was a great boxer, but the fact that he is as punch drunk as an 90 year old Jake Lamotta is a testament that he took quite a few licks.

Toney has the better defence no doubt he's the calmest fighter I've ever seen in the ring he doesn't give a damn if he's on the ropes in the corner etc this is what amazes me. mayweathers better in every other department though
