Rigo vs Mijares isn't a bad fight at all. Mijares has had 10 fights at 122 throughout his career and he won them all, I think it's his natural weight. Rigo better not take him lightly if the fight gets made.

If you've seen his last bout couple of months ago, it'd be clear why WV > Ramos.

I've seen Marroquin more than once, he was considered a good (not blue chip) prospect until losing to Leal, which I've also seen. Arce >>> Leal.
There's no doubt. He literally gave up the belt without a fight. At least WV2 would've made Rigo work for it.

You hear people say, I don't have a problem with Pac/Floyd, it's their fans that turned me against him. I generally support Cubans, but these Rigotards are making me wanna see him lose just so they'd cut out idiocies like the above. And you're generally a good poster, shame.

Dude, WV is the opposite of a cherrypicker. He went for his first title with no amateur career and less than 20 pro fights, as a Cuban you should appreciate. After losing in an excellent fight to Arce, he signed right up for a career ending KO loss to Donaire. And Rafa is no cherrypick, he gave Juanma all he could handle at 126, when Juanma was undefeated and feared. You better believe Rafa still KOs Casey, Kennedy and Ramos (if he can catch him).

find another fighter today that has done what Rigondeaux has accomplished in 10 fights? He is well known around the World more ppl has watch his fights in the amateurs than all of Nonitos fights, there's a reason why Nonito is going out of his way to avoid GR and is not about his 10 fights, if it were that easy he would have fought him instead of Mathebula or WVII, he knows he can lose against the Cuban and for the first time in years he ain't the favorite, as a fan I'll love to see this fight just like thousands of other fans, but Nonito, Arum and a very small % of Donaire's fans don't want to see it and they bringing every excuse to the table.

I think Rigondeaux can exert more pressure on Arum to fight any 122 pounder he wants (except Nonito.) Especially with his contract being over and up for renegotiation.

You answer me this: Do you believe that Ramos, Kennedy, and Marroquin are really the best opponents at 122 that Rigo can get?

i think Arum is protecting Rigondeaux from Donaire to be perfectly honest

you dont know whats goin on behind the scenes, perhaps Nonito got a clue from Arum, "hey listen Nonito, we wanna build up this little Cuban so you wont be fighting him anytime soon"

I believe they are the best opponents that would accept a fight with Rigondeaux. Plus, it's not up to Rigo who he fights. He called out everyone and TopRank didn't make any of them happen.

Rigondeaux isn't fighting the toughest competition but he is doing what he is supposed to do with them. Getting them out of there. A lot of people don't give Ramos credit but I do. I don't see Donaire KO'ing Ramos.

I've seen an excerpt of an interview where Arum has his doubts about whether Donaire would be able to beat Rigo/Juanma/Gamboa/Salido. This is before Gamboa left TR. Remember the way TR does match-making, they match up their stars against opposition that have the best risk:reward ratio, and if it's an in-house fight, even better.

Of course he is protecting Rigondeaux from Nonito, that's why he fought Cordova in his 7 fight and challenged for a World title in his 8th, you really don't believe that?

If his last fight was even a 10 rounder, Ramos wouldn't have gone the distance with his last opponent on solo boxeo
