Not sure why the boxing media has decided to rain down on Guerrero's win, its like their all Guerrero haters. If I was in Guerrero's economic situation, the only words out of my mouth would be 'Mayweather, Mayweather, Mayweather' for that payday. I mean, did you guys see what kind of house he's living in? That's poverty level there.

And besides, who just simply waits in line for a fight? Obviously with so many mandatory fights out there not being made, waiting doesn't work, its usually the biggest hype job. As the saying goes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

I don't seen any issue with this article. Robert wanted the attention and now he is getting it. Before he called out Mayweather he was getting no attention, good or bad, except from hardcore fans. The truth is Robert got hit way to much by a fighter with nothing more than a right hand and no defense and was hurt on more than 1 occasion. He has a punchers chance with Floyd and even that is not to good. He got KD by Cassa and He has not looked great against lesser competition. I figure since he and Thurman want to call Floyd out, maybe they should fight one another and make a name for themselves to get the Floyd fight.

I really & truly don't get certain guys. The Ghost went to war with a real welterweight following surgery, & a 15 month layoff after jumping 2 divisions. People somehow find a way to bash him.

Coincidentally (I assume), in stark contrast, a guy like broner cheats on the scale against someone he is supposed to beat & a certain fanbase jumps to his defense & the majority of boxing scene has already dubbed him the king of 135.

Is the money worth the possible long term effects on Guerrero's career? Robert will get beaten down both physically and mentally against Mayweather.

This is one of the ******est post I've ever read. You try and hammer home your point by saying DLH lost to Sturm and Hopkins. Genius, those were middleweights. DLH was a jr middleweight. And at that point, Mayweather had a grand total of three fights above 140 under his belt. As for Judah losing to Baldomir. Yeah, he did. And guess what, Mayweather kicked both their asses, and is lambasted for it. Mayweather is the only fighter in history to get blasted for beating the lineal champion in a division. As for Hatton and his weak comp. Last I checked, he retired Tsyzu when he was top 5 on every P4P list out there. He destroyed Castillo. Of course everyone says he was shot after the Chico fights. But whatever. He was considered very live against Hatton. And oh yeah, Hattton was undefeated and on every P4P list when he fought Mayweather. As for Ortiz, he was only coming off the Berto win and considered the world's best welter not named Mayweather or Pacquaio. And Bruseles, as I remember it, Mayweather fought him and Chop Chop in eliminators to become Gatti's mandatory to force him into a fight that he and his crew didn't want to take. So please boy, come better.

OMG, I've been waiting for someone to write about this. Writer may have been harsh, but RG deserved it. He was a likable figure before he started running his mouth. If he was calling out the entire 140 division, then I wouldn't have an issue. But he came out of no where with his Mayweather assault. I personally think he could've done things better. Keep fighting better opposition and create your own name instead of trying to ride the "Imma call Floyd out wave" because thats cheesy and makes him look dumb....

Who else is Floyd going to fight that can drive some PPV. At least the Ghost has a back story that will cross over to main steam America. This guy doesnt know how difficult it is to move up weight classes and be successful. Who gives a sh it about the titles, just the fact that he's moving up in weight and beating top ten guys is very impressive.

This guy is a straight hater. Get the F out of here with your sorry ass Fitzsimmons, you are WEAK!
Did you really just say that Guerrero deserves a fight with Mayweather based on him fighting a guy that no one knows of? How many times had you seen Aydin fight before he fought Guerroro? As a matter of fact, how many times had you seen Aydin fight before he was mentioned as an opponent for Guerrero? When did Floyd give Aydin step aside money? Don't you know Floyd is the A side? Why would he give a nobody money to step aside? Don't you know there is no such thing as a mandatory with fighters like Mayweather? Are you serious? You sound like Guerrero with your ill advised statements. And truth be told, Guerrero was suppose to be Aydin. Aydin's no boxer, he's a all out brawler with no skills and the commentators made that clear through the entire fight. Great job for Guerrero to come back and beat a guy THAT HE WAS SUPPOSE TO BEAT! It was a nice win, don't get me wrong, congratulations to him but let's be realistic Aydin is no world beater, plain and simple. He and Guerrero gets beat by eveyone in the top 10 of the welterweight division.

Kudos for him beating Aydin in a title fight he didn't deserve, but he was saying Mayweather was ducking him before the fight with Aydin was signed. Speaking only for myself, thats what aggravated me about him. RG is a good boxer, he's just horrible at talking chit..lol..there are so many good fights for this cat, I just hope he doesn't run from other boxers because of his dream of a big pay day.

I keep reading this talk of a REAL welterweight! What's a real welterweight? Are you speaking of his size? Does size alone win fights? Hell no! Let's be real, Aydin is a decent fighter at best, he has not skill set what so ever. And for those who are clearly blind to how boxing works, this was suppose to be a showcase fight for Guerrero. How known is Aydin here in America? How many champions has Aydin beaten? Who of any significance has he faced? No one! So to try to expand this win as it were some great achievement, is obsurd. This was a showcase fight, for a Goldenboy fighter, in his HOMETOWN! Why was it in his hometown? So if the fight was close, he'd get the nod. Guerrero hasn't done anything, I mean anything to warrant a fight with the best fighters in the division. Even at 135 he hadn't done anything to warrant a fight with the best. His resume literally consists of guys who are C level and bottom of the barrel B level fighters. I wouldn't even say that, their all C level fighters with the exception of Orlando Salido. And please don't mention Casamayor and Katsidis because their both garbage.

                      He doesn't deserve it!

I'll say this, I get where the writer is coming from, but I wouldn't have been as forward as he was. In so many words, he's just stating that Guerrero should actually work his way up to such a fight instead of clamoring for a fight without any significant victories. Let's be real here, Aydin was just a showcase fight for Guerrero, plain and simple. He's a fighter with limited skills, decent power and nothing more. He's slow in hand and foot speed. That's the reason he was chosen by Goldenboy to fight Guerrero in his hometown. Had the fight been close, I guarantee that Guerrero would have received the win.

Another thing the writer is pointing out is, that Guerrero used this win to say that he's beaten the best in the division! Really? Aydin? He's not even top 10, 15 or 20 welterweights, so how would this win warrant a fight with a Ortiz, Berto or Malignaggi, let alone Floyd Mayweather? Because he's mandatory now? Really? When was the last time Floyd fought a Mandatory? As a matter of fact, when was the last time any big time PPV fight fought a mandatory? The fact that his resume is subpar and he feels that he's done enough to warrant such a fight is ridiculous on his part. His best wins are Aydin (23rd WW), Katsidis (17 LW at the time), Casamayor (not even ranked in top 25 LW) and Erik Aiken who won the title of a blind shot. Salido kicked his ass, which is really his B possible A level fighter that he's faced. True Salido tested positive for banned substance, but I believe he would have kicked Guerrero's ass without the substance. All this author is trying to convey is that Guerrero has done absolutely jack **** to warrant a fight with any of the top WW's.
