I get it though. The nerve of someone actually wanting to fight top competition nowadays is unthinkable right? Especially when guys like Floyd and Manny fought their way to the top facing softened up and or washed up competition.

Lyle or any Floyd fan should understand that Guerrero is just sounding like any hungry fighter that wants to take on the best and beat the best. Floyd has acted this way his whole career. And Ricky Hatton gave Floyd hell its when i was finally able to open my eyes and just see how dirty of a fighter Floyd really is. Guerrero just doing what any hungry fighter is doing to take on the best. What Guerrero did is something Floyd would never do step up two divisions having never fought there and take on a dangerous fighter which many believed you aren't going to win.

I just love how you turn this article 180 degrees and make it about Floyd. Ricky wanted to make the fight dirty and rough. Floyd just showed him that no matter what he would make Ricky pay and beat him at his own game. You want to talk dirty? Watch how Ricky "brawls" against Tzyu. Anyway, this article is a bit harsh on Guerrero but I can see the picture. Guerrero has to stand in line to get an opportunity against the biggest names in boxing, Pacquiao and Mayweather. His rant at the end of the fight was cringing. His win against Aydin was good but he needs to do more at WW to get a shot at the big names. Floyd would never fight him unless it's a tune-up and he won't let Robert get his hands on millions that easy.

When exactly did Hatton give Mayweather hell? All I saw Hatton do was hug the **** outta Lil Floyd before getting KTFO. Since when did anyone have to "earn" a fight with Floyd?

Oscar losing to Sturm and Hopkins "earned" his fight with Floyd.

Zab being embarrassed by Baldomir "earned" him a fight with Floyd.

Hatton fighting weak comp and getting battered around by a non puncher (Collazo) "earned" him a fight with Floyd.

Ortiz? Bruseles? Mitchell? etc.

I agree. Its a sad time for boxing when every other writer out there ridicules and trashes every fighter that desires to fight the so called best and make the most money in their careers possible.
