TBH apparently 3/4 K bought tickets from the UK for Peterson 2. With 10 days notice that it was not happening, people could not cancel flights and had to go. I know someone who had to fly out because he booked the holiday time and could not reschedule with work and would have lost some money on the flight.

I also don't think many Danny fans came from Philly.

I have always had a very big dislike for papered fights. However, because I understand the way it works as far as the Casinos and their high rollers, I don't have a problem with those guys getting them to an extent because there are only a small handful of those guys....but this is ridiculous. I hate the fact that people are paying good money for their seats and the guy sitting next to them playing on their ****ing Iphone paying no attention got in for free.

The term "legitimate sell-out" is a near extinct animal in the US, Vegas mainly. I'm not into UFC and I have even less interest in the Boxing vs UFC thing, but I don't think they paper their attendances of their Vegas shows anywhere near as much as this.

no need to compare to Europe, Khan and Garcia are not that well known, so its not that surprising.

Even with his belt, i found it laughable that Max Kellerman labeled him a "star"

LMAO, yea sure he is. No one's gonna know who he is unless he knocks out Pacquiao or Mayweather

Is this a nail in the coffin of Khan's self hyped 'elite, money making' status, or is this par for the course?

Amir needs to back to England. He can have a great rest of his career if he beats up on British/European fighters in front of sold out 50k stadiums. The simple fact is that his poor chin holds him back from competing on a world stage. Rake it in, Amir!

The idea is that Television will pay the bill and you want a full house for video's sake. Eileen Eaton had a better idea to fill the house. One dollar fight night at the Olympic. I saw Mondo Muniz, Little Red Lopez, Andy Price, Kenny Norton and on and on for $1.00. I sat and talked with Dr. Jack Euleem (My bad with the spelling) and met boxing stars, like Archie Moore for a buck. That would be better than charging full price for half the seats and giving the rest away, and if you did give them away, they would only be worth one dollar.

people barely knew who garcia was before the fight, so the only one pullin fans was khan and khan himself is not that famous. if he fought bradley they would have had a full house.

should have fought on the east coast or in england...

Here is an overview of the capacities of the venues:

                      Thomas & Mack - 19,522
                      MGM - 16,800
                      Mandalay - 12,000
                      Hard Rock Vegas - 4,000
Palms Casino - 2,500 (UFC frequently holds events here)

...and at the end of the day businesswise it's a lot more about revenue than sold seats as long as you give out the remaining seats for free so it looks good on tv.
