Sales for Khan-Peterson 2 were much better, 4000 people from England alone bought tickets

Then how do you explain Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao ranked no. 1 and no. 2 respectively as the highest-earning athletes for the 2011-2012 season?

love how boxingscene rushes to discredit the success of this fight, there were many people in attendance and more than you can say for rios's last fight in vegas which had about less than 2,000 people there..... oh but he's signed to top rank so the media will just be quiet about that.......

Because they're bigger than the sport. They've transcended boxing to become en****** themselves. That doesn't mean boxing is doing great in America. If the average sports fan can only name Pacquiao and Mayweather, then the sport's in trouble.

I experienced the same thing at the Martinez-Dzinzuirk fight

If you get a room or gamble enough, they will comp you

The media got an email from the Nevada State Athletic Commission with the stats. I simply posted it as a news piece. The logical headline, given the data, was either this one — or, as other media members put it on Twitter, I could've said that more people got in for free than paid for it.

And you must not be familiar with my work if you think I'm beholden to or favor anyone in this sport. I've been on the Nevada commission mailing list for a week now. Last week I got the Mundine-McKart figures and presented those. This week I got these stats and did the same.

                  Thanks,
                  David
