RJJ had his moments in that third fight, but he was unwilling to do what it took to win clearly against Tarver. I think most would agree with that.

Tarver wasn't destroying Jones. Jones just wanted to fight a risk-less fight (like Hopkins against Taylor) and it did NOT work.

I tried looking up the end punching stats on compubox, but they don't have it archived. I believe Tarver landed more punches than Jones. If that is not indicative of the fight Jones fought, then I don't know what is.

If you are unwilling to admit that Jones was not the same fighter he was before the move up to Heavyweight and back down, you're being ignorant. That's all there is to it.

It's common sense that at that age, coupled with the 25 pounds of mussle loss when he had no body fat, that he's not the same fighter he was.

Anyone with common sense can watch fights of his from before and after and tell the difference.

    Just look at his phisique:

You get a lot of slack about your boxing knowledge, and with the way you're going on about this, it's clear why that is.

KT was definently not out of his prime when he fought Hatton. Hatton fought like a dirty *****, and his dad/referee allowed it. Hatton fans, dont jump on me, we've already had this discussion, I'm just stating that KT was NOT over the hill when he fought Hatton.

He looked very pale after dropping that weight to fight Tarver.

Roy Jones fans are the KINGS of excuses. Klitschko fans, you have been surpassed! Why can't Roy fans admit Tarver is the better fighter? He arguably drew with Jones in the first fight, knocked him out in the second fight, and dominated Roy in the third and final fight. Roy showed nothing against Tarver to suggest he is the better fighter.

It's simple, because Roy was past his best when Tarver beat him.

And that first fight was not "arguably" a draw. If you don't know how to score a fight it was.

It was clearly a win for Jones after he took the 11th and 12th.

With this logic, that would be like saying Taylor is better than Hopkins because he beat him back to back at the end of his career.

Tarver deserves props for being the 1st man to truely beat Roy.

But if you actually believe he's the better fighter as a whole as far as history's concerned, let me hear you say that so I can call you an idiot.

Taylor is bigger, stronger, and faster than Hopkins. He would have caused Hopkins problems at any time in his career. Let's not forget, Taylor isn't even in his prime yet by your logic.

                Roy Jones fans = crybabies

Shock post, anyone? Compare their accomplishments, if RJJ would have met Tarver before the Ruiz fight, he would have been dealt with properly. Dont get it confused, I'm not making excuses, just stating my opinion.

on a side note, remember in the hype up for the Castillo/Corrales rematch, when Corrales was asked about the mouthpiece incident, and he said "I would never purposely take out my own mouthpiece" or something along those lines, and as he was saying it, they showed this clip(below)? Classic ****. Bottom line, Tarver beat RJJ, but RJJ's career ****s all over Tarver's.

Something tells me you scored more than 2 rounds for Roy in the third Tarver fight. Even Harold Lederman only gave Roy 3 rounds. THE SAME GUY THAT GAVE ROY 10 ROUNDS AGAINST HOPKINS IN 1993. ****, every single round of that fight was close as hell. I watched it last night and thought Hopkins could have earned a draw, though I scored it for Roy 116-112 on the grounds that Roy landed better power shots in a few key close rounds. Hell yeah, I know how to score. I take pride in my scorecards, and I gave Tarver 6 rounds. I'm pretty sure one of the judges had it a draw as well while the other two scored it for Roy by unacceptable landslide scores. 115-113 at best for Roy, 115-113 at best for Tarver. Close fight that could easily have been a draw.
