This is a bad, bad move. Before Broner was a funny loudmouth. Now he's a loudmouth with no respect for the sport, and not many people will support that.
well thats true. he has a lot of strikes against him, lol. but ppl are still interested. we'll see tho. this was a hard lesson for him to learn. talk all the **** u want, but do what ur supposed to do in regards to your career.
So Broner fails to make weight not once but twice, and somehow it's Escobedo's fault the fight isn't happening? You people are reaching. Let me make it real simple here:
You make weight, the fight happens.
You don't make weight, it's your own damn fault you lost your chance at the spotlight. no one elses.
He failed to make weight not once but twice in a span of less than a day. It's obvious he did this on purpose. This Broner guy got scared. Clear as day.
90% of you guys commenting here aren't even Broner fans. You guys need to man up, stop with the whole "we were looking forward to a night of good boxing" lie. The only reason you guys were going to watch tonight was to see and HOPE, and PRAY that Broner lost. And if Broner did win, you would of told him to step his opposition up. THAT's what you all were looking forward to, you know dam well that Escobedo wasn't gonna beat no dam Adrien Broner.
And your Adrian Broner ain't no way going to make 130lbs no'mo! And he claims that he works harder than any other boxer...evidently Escobedo works harder to make weight. Hahaha...aaaaaa...aaaa.
Exactly. He's got a ton of bargaining power right now.
He should ask for $500K and demand that Broner not come in over 145 an hour before the fight.
He doesn't have THAT much bargaining power (more than original combined purses? wtf, lol). But if Broner truly wanted the fight, he'd agree to such terms with approval and additional financial backing by Al Haymon and company.
