No doubt. But like I said, if it did happen, he'd already beat the right opposition. And I should've added that there should be no more issues making weight. One time to help pave the way was what I meant.

          • I think Broner is about to discover that he is not nearly as big of a star as HE thinks he is. If he moves up to lightweight, he will have to fight some good quality opposition to win a championship, unlike the soup cans he has been fighting thus far in his career. Those quality fighters at 135 are going to give him a serious reality check. Two years from now, Adrien Broner will be an exposed has-been hoping to get a main event fight on Friday Night Fights.

antonio demarco is the number one ranked lightweight and hes the definition of a mediocre fighter. his claim to fame is beating Jorge Linares' defenseless ass. yea...i wouldnt worry about broners chances at lightweight. the only fighters i think gives him much trouble is miguel vasquez and richard abril

There's still decent names with average to above average skill at 135, but what are the chances of Broner facing them? The bigger names with skill recently left the division for the bigger fish at 140 and 147. I hope this is not what Broner meant when he said it was finally time for him to move up in weight.
