Not everyone fights for money. Some people fight because they want to win. Its not unreasonable for him to want to compete on an even playing field.

i dunno how anyone blames escobedo. this hurts him more than it hurts broner thats for sure. hes not gonna get another hbo date. broner most certainly will. and not only that, he has to fight someone else, train for someone else for his title shot. the belt isnt gonna be dropped in his lap. and i doubt his team thinks it will.

If it would of been Escobedo that didn't make weight and Broner who did.. they'd be blaming Escobedo, calling him a coward for not making weight twice and praising Broner for not taking the fight.

These dudes aren't fans of the sport.. they're **** riders of a man. Why even pay them any attention?

I hope Broner bounces back from this, but there is nothing other than his lack of professionalism to blame for this fight not happening.
If the guy really wanted to fight, he would've tried to make weight.. the first time, not even trying the second time shows he really didn't care and didn't want it.

no, he belongs at 135. if he rehydrated to 143, thats about 8 or 9 lbs over the 135 limit. thats where he belongs rite now.

lol @ the ppl acctually blaming escobedo, he can do no wrong in this situation. they signed a contract and broner didnt live up to his end, that gives escobedo every right to pull out. ppl forget what sport this is, a loss can set you back a long way and escobedo cant afford that at this point in his career in addition to the added risks to his health.

ppl say hes a punk if he doesnt want to fight, but if anyone isnt the guy trying to buy an advantage for a fight hes already heavily favored to win the punk?

ppl also say this happens all the time and the fight goes on anyways, but thats not a good thing. its messed up that guys like broner can pull this crap and get away with it by simply guilting the other guy into fighting at a disadvantage. he made the mistake he shouldnt be able to just throw some money at escobedo and turn it around.
