This Broner guy should be suspended for at least two years. This should be unacceptable canceling a fight at the last minute. This is obviously intentional. I mean how hard is it to gain weight at a gradual pace and gain the required amount from 133 to 140? No wonder he can't face his opponent with a straight body in the press conf and weigh in.

i guess that means manny should have been suspended two times for the few times he didnt make weight either rite?

but at the end of the day, broner bought this embarassment on himself. i told everyone he wasnt gonna make 143. its was physically impossible. he had no fat on his body whatsoever and he was already 133.5. he is simply not a super featherweight. either way, i hope he learned his lesson and it was a hard lesson to learn. but he needed to learn it.

Maintaining 6.5 pounds for around half a day for his weight situation is certainly doable, but it'd take some dedication to the hard work. He was allowed to rehydrate 6.5 pounds until the morning, and then rehydrate some more afterward. Come on, man. This is why people get worked up when they see or hear about him posting weight-ballooning foods on his twit feed.

Rest assured, HBO will forgive him because he's an Al Haymon fighter. They just ****smoke that guy. But that doesn't mean they'll be heavily disappointed.

nahh, u dont know what ur talking about here. it wasnt doable. thats why he couldnt do it. if u have ever fought and had to make weight, u would know there are walls u hit. he hit a wall. its not like the guy had a buncha fat or even water weight on him. he didnt. he could not go into a fight today and not have hydrated for 2-3 days. that wasnt gonna happen. he had to hydrate somewhat yesterday. i dont think its wronf that the fight is cancelled at all, but what ur saying is simply expecting too much. it wasnt gonna happen and thats why i said it wasnt, ive known plenty of ppl whove had the experience.

lol @ the ppl acctually blaming escobedo, he can do no wrong in this situation. they signed a contract and broner didnt live up to his end, that gives escobedo every right to pull out. ppl forget what sport this is, a loss can set you back a long way and escobedo cant afford that at this point in his career in addition to the added risks to his health.

ppl say hes a punk if he doesnt want to fight, but if anyone isnt the guy trying to buy an advantage for a fight hes already heavily favored to win the punk?

ppl also say this happens all the time and the fight goes on anyways, but thats not a good thing. its messed up that guys like broner can pull this crap and get away with it by simply guilting the other guy into fighting at a disadvantage. he made the mistake he shouldnt be able to just throw some money at escobedo and turn it around.
