hes young and needs time to develop look man u people need to understand that this is these guys life, its a business hes getting a little money right now its life get a grip hes making weight with no issues and refining his craft against different styles of opponents who arent realy super big names just like alvarez is. I agree he needs work but hes working dammit!i don't hate him, i am just struggling to see what majority of others see in him.
He is young and i wish him well hes just a fighter that don't jump out to me personally and say ''i'm something special''
his opposition has ******, no idea how he makes weight but he does.
He looks to me like a guy trying to be something he isn't.
Imo hes a very top heavy guy with a majorly wide stance that over-thinks everything and it just looks so unnatural. You can see him thinking, he isn't fluid, everything is forced with him.
You can literally see him stop & think and you know what he is thinking.
I honestly watched him vs eloy perez and i could almost predict his every move.
U WANT HIM TO HAVE A GREAT RESUME OF OPPONENTS AT 22 YEARS OLD?Last edited by jtiger777; 07-20-2012, 11:47 AM.Comment

He's got a lot of potential.
However, he very much looks like a welterweight that cuts to 135 to beat up on small guys. He's also yet to fight a real top fighter, and even then, he's had struggles with some of those smaller and unskilled guys.
I dont think he's as good as others seem to (himself included), but he could turn into a very good fighter.Comment

this pretty much sums it up right here folks now get back to your worthless lifesok boxing fans...bring the ***in expectation down on these young fighters!
You have fighters 20-22 years old and fans are expecting these guys to have a resume to match top p4p fighters already...
Many of you clearly don't know **** about boxing so you have these unrealistic video game expectations to have these young guys just thrown into the ring with top fighters way too soon, that is what happened to fernando vargas and his career was done long before he even reached his 30 years old
the tougher competition will start to come for all these young up and coming fighters who are getting hyped up as the next big thing (this goes for canelo as well), that is when we will find out just how good these young fighters are
i personally think broner does have elite talent and he is still improving, he is years away from being a finished product as a fighter, he is dominating purely on talent at the moment, the skills are still be redefined and he will come into his own by the time he is 25 years old then he is really going to be "a problem"
i don't take what is posted on this forum serious though because you have people who hate guys like broner for reasons that has absolutely nothing to do with boxing, some hate him because he is black, some hate him because he is american, then some hate him for his trash talking (which is fine), but to deny his talent/abilities in the ring regardless who it is against is insane, the dude has talent....a lot of it, it is just all about him continuing to work hard, staying focused and getting better and i can honestly say he is doing that, he has been a lot more aggressive and more impressive to me since the ponce de leon fight
i also can't blame broner for burns clearly ducking him and jumping to another division and his resume for a young fighter is really not all that bad, eloy perez as a young prospect on the rise and gbp had high expectations for him as well and say what you want but jason litzua was a champion, coming off of two good wins over rocky juarez and the huge upset over celestino caballero
so for a young up and coming fighter i think broner resume is very solidComment

Floyd was a big puncher at 130 too, or above average.Comment

Broner has NOTHING on Floyd when he was that age.
Floyd was faster, better defensively, hit every bit as hard, smarter, better footwork, better counter-puncher....and he did all that while being the smaller man in most cases.Comment
