I'm not overly impressed with Broner

i disagree. washed up shane is shot. hes a name, nothing more. hes not washed up. hes shot. so is cintron, who hadnt done anything of note in about 2 yrs before that fight and was coming off a loss. im not one of these guys that give fighters credit for beating husks. i didnt criticize alvarez much for taking either fight because i get why he did it, but washed up shane probably cant even beat a top 20 154lber.Comment

who knows, he might end up a p4p fighter in the future. there's no indication of that as of right now though so for people to declare he's a future p4p are just fond of him because he's doing the same thing they're doing...and that is to nuthug floyd.
the kid has shown skills and talent but against weak opponents so it doesn't really mean a lot as it's easier to showcase your skills with those kind of fights. he's in a weak division though and that is not his fault. let him step up his competition and see what happens.Comment

Is Eloy Perez better than that version of Shane? Vicente Rodriguez? Jason Litzau?i disagree. washed up shane is shot. hes a name, nothing more. hes not washed up. hes shot. so is cintron, who hadnt done anything of note in about 2 yrs before that fight and was coming off a loss. im not one of these guys that give fighters credit for beating husks. i didnt criticize alvarez much for taking either fight because i get why he did it, but washed up shane probably cant even beat a top 20 154lber.Comment

I hate Floyd. Think Broner has tons of potential. Especially since he has shown noticeable improvement in the last 2 years and if he continues to improve he will be a serious force.who knows, he might end up a p4p fighter in the future. there's no indication of that as of right now though so for people to declare he's a future p4p are just fond of him because he's doing the same thing they're doing...and that is to nuthug floyd.

OK Boxing Fans...BRING THE ***IN EXPECTATION DOWN ON THESE YOUNG FIGHTERS!
You have fighters 20-22 years old and fans are expecting these guys to have a Resume to match Top P4P Fighters already...
many of you clearly don't know **** about boxing so you have these UNREALISTIC VIDEO GAME EXPECTATIONS to have these young guys just thrown into the ring with Top Fighters way too soon, that is what happened to Fernando Vargas and his career was done long before he even reached his 30 Years Old
The Tougher Competition will start to come for all these young up and coming fighters who are getting hyped up as the next big thing (this goes for Canelo as well), that is when we will find out just how good these young fighters are
I personally think Broner does have ELITE TALENT and he is still improving, he is years away from being a FINISHED PRODUCT as a fighter, he is dominating purely on talent at the moment, the skills are still be redefined and he will come into his own by the time he is 25 years old then he is really going to be "A PROBLEM"
I don't take what is posted on this Forum Serious though because you have people who hate guys like BRONER for reasons that has absolutely nothing to do with Boxing, some hate him because he is Black, some hate him because he is American, then some hate him for his Trash Talking (which is fine), but to deny his talent/abilities in the ring regardless who it is against is INSANE, the dude has talent....A LOT OF IT, it is just all about him continuing to work hard, staying focused and getting better and I can honestly say he is doing that, he has been a lot more aggressive and more impressive to me since the Ponce De Leon fight
I also can't blame Broner for Burns clearly DUCKING HIM and jumping to another Division and his Resume for a young fighter is really not all that bad, Eloy Perez as a young prospect on the RISE and GBP had high expectations for him as well and say what you want but Jason Litzua was a Champion, coming off of two good wins over Rocky Juarez and the huge upset over Celestino Caballero
so for a young up and coming fighter I think Broner Resume is very SolidComment

it's a little bit superficial for me because while he's showing some improvements he's stucked with the same level of opponents. let's see what he can do when he steps up.Comment
