I would love to see "Maravilla"-Miguel. At this point I have to believe Martinez wins it. Cotto moving up to 160 is starting to push it. Still, I would expect a great fight.
I agree 100% with that statement.

There is some good talent at 154 and Cotto should stay there and dominate!

Cotto shouldn't fight young big punchers like canelo.

Cotto should definitely go a different route.

        2. Compared to Cotto?
        3. That's seriously one of your reasons?
        4. Hahahaha, good old boxing. Becoming the face without having to do anything at all. Cotto has sold more, made more and proved he's a bigger money maker than Canelo.

        Cotto 55%?
        Are you kidding me?
He's the third largest PPV maker in boxing. I can see people arguing over Pac and May because they're the first and second.... but 45% to somebody who isn't even a proven seller yet?
Get out of here, if he makes half a million buys,if GBP is still ******ly chasing a PPV on Sept 15th,then they can talk 70-30.
I'm not trying to discredit Cotto in any way. Just stating that GBP has already established a certain way of doing business with Canelo. From what I recall he's gotten paid the most money in history for a non-main event fight. I'm not saying he's a bigger star than Cotto. You're taking it personal. I don't think this fight will happen cause Cotto and Canelo won't budge. If they do it won't be much.

Not proven anything? That's why GBP paid him 1.2 mill and he wasn't even the main event. You're just on hate mode.

Not sure but if you've watched boxing for years SOME of the biggest latin stars usually didn't speak english: Chavez, Duran, Trinidad, etc...

          That statement was ******.

Before some other nutt hugger comments...I would def think that Cotto should get the bigger slice of the cake. I just think GBP would do everything to limit that "bigger" half.

Hate mode? Doubt it. Reality check, he gets paid because his huge following in Mexico not in the states. Chavez, Duran and Trinidad huge support was from the hispanic community. Duran had that huge following cause who he fought. Trinidad was as charismatic as Oscar but never develop into a big star in the states because he didnt speak english. That is a known fact.

The problem with your statement is that Cotto is not signed by Golden Boy. If they want him to face Canelo they need to give him a significant, more than the 55% you suggest early, for the fight to be made. His lame title @ 160 dont make sense, but he has that option and dont have to accept GBP demands.
