After the Mosley fight, he said as of now, Canelo picks his opponents. This is what Richard himself said, not me. Maybe this was true at one point, the most recent interview from Schaeffer said Canelo picks his opponents.

The Canelo-Mayweather fight didn't happne because mayweather didn't want it, not Oscar. If you guys remember when Mayweather was making his comeback 3 years ago, he was considering the fight with Canelo then. But "HE as in Mayweather" didn't make the fight because of the terrible fan response he got from it. Mayweather can make the fight with Canelo whenever he wants. It's him, not Oscar that won't allow that fight to happen.

Until Schaeffer proves to be a liar, I will believe them and as of now, he says Canelo determines who he fights.

No reason not to believe him in this one as he manages both guys and a loss would probably drop either guy to down oblivion.

Why not build both guys up and do a rematch when they are BOTH hot in the division? How much more money would that be compared to doing a rematch now?
