Can't believe Russell Jr is getting hated on around here. The guy isn't brought up slowly, it's more about the setbacks he has had. First the Berto-Ortiz fight was rescheduled then he got injured then the problem with Franco.

Sure as hell doesn't look good if you claim you are better than Gamboa and then turn down not only an eliminator, you turn down a title fight!! He needs to shut the *** up about being better than Gamboa if he is going to turn down great opportunities to fight softies.

Saying Lara couldn't take P.Will out is kinda unfair. Sure P.Will's chin was cracked by Martinez but he always had a good chin then on top of that he had, what? About 3-4 inches on Lara plus the weight advantage as well?

PWill definitely had a good chin but Lara was hitting him flush all night. I did think maybe it was PWill's chin at first but after tonight I'm thinking Lara might not pack much of a wallop. Until he atleast drops a top JMW I don't see it. Lara should definitely rematch Molina they have unfinished business.

Well, in Lara's defense, how many times has Hernandez been down before? Besides the Berto KO. They say speed is power and IMO Berto possesses more speed than Lara. So maybe that was part of what caused the KO. But like I said Lara had an interview BEFORE this fight and he said if kept KO'ing guys in the first round he would be avoided more. Out of Lara's 11 KO 9 have been in the 1st round so why not get some rounds in? Not saying this is why he didn't stop Hernandez but who knows? If you looked at Lara his face was untouched.
