Lack of confidence. Franco was willing to fight him and it would have been an eliminator. The gravy train continues.

Not correct. He wanted more money IE not worth the risk of losing to Franco, YET it was an eliminator for the title Dibbs holds!!! Thats a duck!

I like Russel, but he isnt the greatest prospect when he is 24 and beating on softies.
The difference is that Russell didn't have a world title handed to him. When you have a belt you shouldn't fight like a prospect. Russell is not holding a belt hostage. Canelo is.

Russell earlier this year also backed out of a fight with Billy Dibbs. So much for the BULL*****when he said he was better than Gamboa!!! The soft touches continue.

Not correct! Russel was offered a shot against Billy Dibbs this year and backed out. He was offered an eliminator against Franco and he backed out.

Actually comparing a mexican 21 year old with a 24 year old american with olympic pedigree is more thsn fair. Basically canelo was fighting professionals while he learned his craft. Russel is being brought along too slowly. The division is weak, no reason he shouldnt step up sooner given his talent level. He hasnt had any decent tests. Canelo fought often, but chronologically he stepped up light years quicker than almost snybody outside of tyson.

Lara did seem aggressive late I missed the first 5 rounds. It looked like Lara was putting a lot behind his punches. He couldn't get Hernandez out of there. After seeing this I have to say maybe Lara doesn't have the pop and thats why he couldn't get PWill out of there even though he hit Williams all night with lefts. I don't see Lara getting KOs against the elite in the division and his awkward style could lead to alot of close controversial decisions against the elite like in the Molina fight.

Saying Lara couldn't take P.Will out is kinda unfair. Sure P.Will's chin was cracked by Martinez but he always had a good chin then on top of that he had, what? About 3-4 inches on Lara plus the weight advantage as well?

Lara is the complete package....he deserves a title shot and clearly one of the elite fighters in Boxing.
