I honestly think the ref should have said "take a knee or I'm stopping it"

but then again I did see Lee get his chin clocked and he almost fell but caught himself mid way

Uhhh that won't be a shock. JR beats Sergio easily.

Only casual fans think Sergio actually has a chance just like they thought Andy Lee might actually win.

Has Chavez earned respect yet? Or is the excuse now that Andy Lee was a bum
I wonder what the excuse will be if he fights and beats Martinez? That he was too old? That he never beat anyone good? That Pavlik and Williams were terrible too? haha. The excuses never end with the haters.

Facts are the kid is good, and has improved in every single fight since he got with Freddie Roach. Roach has played to the kid's strengths and has not tried to change his style much. If he can control his outside the ring behavior he can be even better.

He is better than I once thought, but there are some questions over drug testing and I would also like to see how he does against fighters who are of a similar size because Jr. clearly is not a natural MW.

I don't think his strategy will be as effective against bigger guys.

Meh, it was an impressive win. And I'd give him a decent shot at beating Martinez.

                But at 168?

                Different beast right there.

                No hate. Just reality.

You're welcome, I'm sure. You need something to brighten up your life and seemingly, that was it........??

Otherwise well, thank you for asking. What did you think of the Irish tenor?? Bloody awful, with going sharp all the time and stopping and redoing the bars. think they got him out of the audience and he'd had a few jars. I earlier suggested they'd dragged him from a pub. Ever since John MacCormack, every Irish singer thinks he has to be a tenor, but there'll never be another like MacCormack I met him when I was a little boy. We hired him when we re-opened the Theatre Royal in Wexford. He was drunk, but sang like an angel. He died not long afterwards.

You're right, but maybe you forget that he's still learning. He had no interest in boxing until he decided to become a pro aged 17. His very first fight was his pro debut.

Its not as if Andy Lee was a midget.

And on the issue of weight, I wonder why its only certain fighters like Chavez who get so much hate about the weight, and about him not being a "natural" middleweight. Pacquiao fought fights at 130 and come in on fight night at 146. Cotto was a huge 140 lbs and no one ever game him criticism. Morales was huge for his division and no one said anything. There is not such thing as a natural anything in boxing. If you can make the weight you fight in that division. Hell Roy Jones started at 154 and went all the way to HW.
