did manny ask cotto for a catchweight?
did manny ask margarito for a catchweight?
1 of the top 2 fighters in the world is the one asking for catchweights
Would Dawson better a tougher fight for Ward at 172 lbs.

    Yes he would.

Example where the catchweight fight is tougher.

Cotto asked to fight Pacquiao at 145lbs, he only dropped 2 lbs bellow his normal limit.

    Dawson is dropping 7 lbs.

Cotto is also a former 140 lbs while Dawson has been a career light-heavy.

i'm pretty sure dawson doesn't weigh in at 175 on the dot for all his fights
Dawson don't walk around at 168lbs either.

Cotto did fight at 147lbs and was 146lbs before, Dawson fights at 175 lbs, maybe he 174lbs sometimes.

Even so 2 lbs is less than 6 lbs.

But biased posters such as yourself, will claim Cotto was weight drained while Dawson if perfectly healthy.

Damn you lot are a joke.

No blame for Ward, but how much credit, we'll have to see. Not that many called the ODLH Pac outcome in advance. One difference, Dawson is a full fledged lhw with no accomplishments at smw. Cotto is not a true sww, else he wouldn't be asking for a 150 cw against a sww bum in Margo one fight prior. Dawson never needed a cw at 175, esp not against a guy with one good eye.

Damn I'll connect the dots for you.

Pacquiao says he won't fight again at that weight, and 147 is his limit.

So if he going to fight Cotto what weight will he ask the fight to be at?

          That's right 147lbs.

If Cotto can't make it, he says no.

          Hope that clears that up.

I know boxers are rarely principled, but why would you expect him to go back on his word for a guy he thoroughly destroyed already? Pac was looking for a fight at 147. Cottos, you want it, no? See ya.

Actually you still don't understand why I said what I did, again, go read the quote it responded to.

Here's the counter, if Pacman already destroyed a (healthy) Cotto & beats him at anyweight. Why choose him, but only at 147??

Perfect example of a biased poster
It wasnt 1 pound for Manny it was 2 and it was 6 mths later , if he just made the weight before why is it so hard for you fathom that 6 mths later that bit more was a killer , your an idiot if you think a few pounds cant really hurt you if its on the wrong side of your threshold .

What other facts are relevant , lets see , he went straight to 154 , refuses to try and make the larger 147 again saying he will never sacrifice his body like that again , and he was talking about 145 , he wanted 150 . and Manny sheeeeeeeet himself and went looking for a JWW thats shorter than him lol .

Dawson is a much bigger man which is relevant because 7 pound to him is equivalent to what ? in a smaller man , not 7lb lol ,, and maybe he can make that weight we dont know , it was Dawsons call not Wards , Cotto didnt call Manny out at 145 , that was all Manny , only a biased fool would try and muddy these very clear waters .

Your such a biased poster without a leg to stand on other than your own interpretation which is based on a lack of boxing knowledge = fail !

Why did Ward fight Dawson at 175 lbs, wouldn't Dawson be better there. Would Ward lose to Dawson at 175 lbs?
