@Calzaghes wins against Jones and Eubank being A class wins. How about a D class win for Jones and maybe a C for Eubank.

Froch stepped up in like his 24th fight.

Calzaghe waited until all of his major opposition was passed prime.

Kessler is truly the biggest win in Calzaghe's career. RJJ and BHOP were thrown in for purely name recognition.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO COINCIDENCE that Calzaghe fought Jones and BHOP when he did.

That alone puts Froch above Calzaghe, who hid out in Europe 99% of his career.

The only two prime fighters worth mentioning on Calzaghe's resume were Jeff Lacy and Mikkel Kessler. That's it.

Joe Calzaghe wasn't "the man" at any weight class.

Jones even past his prime would kick Taylor's ass.

24 fight but he was 31 years old

your right though, Hopkins and Jones fought Calzaghe when the reward was bigger than the risk.

            Probably not.

This is the same fighter getting stopped in one round by Danny Green.

              @ Cruiserweight

Didn't Taylor almost get KOed vs Caleb Truax? both of their chins suck now but Roy is and always will be a better fighter than Taylor

Yeah, difference is Roy actually got stopped by Green, in one round.

Why you're comparing Roy Jones to these wins is beyond me.

Froch's win over Brian Magee is better than Joe's win over Roy Jones.

To keep using the Roy Jones win as a defence is actually making out Calzaghe's resume to worse than it already pitifully is. Roy Jones probably isn't in his Top 10 wins.

What is Roy's problem right now or post Tarver 2? he couldn't take a punch. Calzaghe couldn't punch at that stage so Roy Jones was still a dangerous fighter, how can someone with the handspeed and power of even a diminished Roy Jones be an easier fight than Brian Magee?

I'm just saying people say Froch's resume is better than Calzaghe's and throw names like Taylor, Abraham and Johnson out there while ****ting on Calzaghe's wins, when in reality none of those fighters are that good wins.

                      ONLY COUNTING A-CLASS FIGHTERS

                      Calzaghe:

                      Roy Jones
                      Bernard Hopkins
                      Mikkel Kessler
                      Chris Eubanks

                      VS

                      Carl Froch:

                      Jermain Taylor
                      Glen Johnson
                      Andre Dirrell
                      Lucian Bute

                      Arthur Abraham
                      Andre Ward

So will he always be ranked below joe simply because he took the risk that joe never did and therefore lost his '0'
                      @ naming the losses.

I don't think Froch will ever catch up to De La Hoya, that's for sure.
