Donaire and overhyped should not be in the same sentence together......

all ill say is hes not what we thought he was. hes absolutely elite. but hes not the next mayweather, not the next pacquiao, not the next roy jones. hes a good fighter. i dont think he'll ever be great tho, which is sad considering guys like carl froch and miguel cotto dont have half his athletic abilities but they are much closer to being considered great.

Fight with Rigondeaux not happening any time soon, pff he just had second thoughts about fighting Mijares because of how big and conditioned he was looking in training. Mijares already was two or three weeks in preparation for Donaire go figure. (Call it a duck if you wish).

I think Donaire is better than Pacquiao and Mayweather, he just hasn't had the chance to prove it yet against top opposition -

Maybe a Donaire Rigo fight could show us the kind of potential he has.....

donaire is in no way, shape or form better than either of those fighters. to say so is downright disgusting.

Maybe not resume wise - but his skills are definitely on par with those two.....

nope. still dont agree. he has great skills but they are simply better. esp floyd, a prime floyd could do everything donaire does and then some. and the same was pretty much true for pac as well. donaire has a lot of flash, but hes simply not the offesive machine pac is and his defense is not that great either.

I cant say he is overhyped.... but he isn't top 5. He beat guys I thought he had no chance against, but that doesnt mean he is the next Pac or May. I think a Mares fight would really show what kind of smarts he has in the ring. Mares has enough power and technique to make for an interesting fight. I agree with silencers on this upcoming fight. Sometimes you gotta get the ugly W... they cant all be flashy.

A prime Floyd didn't have the power Donaire has.....

Anyways, Donaire's style doesn't really resemble Floyd's or Pac's - so it's not really fair to compare them that way.....

Donaire's style mostly resembles the way SRR boxed imo.....

Maybe Donaire's not on their level right now, but only time will tell....

yea, he has style. but yea power is the one thing he had over floyd and that seems to have changed as hes moved up, we'll see.

hes almost 30, if hes not on their level rite now, its never gonna happen me thinks.
