Has there been another fighter to blast through so many expectations as Pacquiao?

Pac was the favorite to beat Cotto, Hatton, etc. yet when he beats them haters be screaming PEDs... If that isn't surpassing expectations I don't know what is... I hear careful matchmaking yet I also hear PEDs.. Pac must have really over shot expectations.

After Oscar, still the vast majority were picking Cotto to KO Pacquiao and Margarito was a Monster that was too big and would destroy Pacquiao.

Pacquiao also has the fights where he was an underdog 20/1 against Ledwaba, and the fights against MAB, Sasakul and Oscar.

Pacquiao has shatter expectations of him time and time again. Don't be surprised if he does it again.

How many people had Pacquiao blasting out Hatton in two rounds?
But the fact still remains that when the fight were signed, which is what's important, he was the favourite in all of those fights.

And quite a lot of people expected Hatton to get knocked out, early aswell.

The betting odd's pretty actually very favourable of an early Pacquaio KO.

Freddie Roach said Pacquiao would take him out in 3, but he was crticise by many for that remark.

Hopkins said the fight was too close to call.

The point is that surpasses the wlidest expectations of many.

Other fighters have done this, but not as many as Pacquiao in my opinion, if someone want to furnish me with evidence to the contrary, then I will change my mind.

So far the majority of people want to talk about Pacquiao's resume, PEDs cherry picking and nuthugging.

Ive never thought it was PEDS but it could be , I believe Manny has been matched perfectly strategically ducking fighters when they look dangerous and then cherry picking them when they shot, that along with CWs and special size rings gloves etc all build the hype for kids , not saying Manny is not a top line fighter just that he is a WW hype job , this the reason Arum will not put him in with Floyd because it all gets exposed .

Other than DLH and Hatton, I don't see what you're talking about.

People expected him to stop and end Mosley's career, that didn't happen. The majority of boxing fans thought Cotto was going to get knocked out in the mid rounds. Nobody wanted to see the Margarito fight, the fight was sham, it caused an uproar. Only Pacquiao's craziest fans were hyping that fight up. A lot of people predicted Pac would beat Clottey by decision, his crazy fans I remember making bets that Pac was gonna knock him out.

Now with Bradley, like about 10 people are giving him a chance to win, but I bet 3 years from now you will act like Bradley was favored to win and Pacquiao was this massive underdog.

Hard work and believing in himself made Pacquiao an over achiever, the haters cannot accept that but it is the truth.

Pacquiao has shocked the world on so many occasions, so many write him off give him no chance but not only does he cause upsets he annihilates guys that were meant to annihilate him.

It is no surprise that Pacquiao loses almost all fantasy fight on here, because people continually underestimate his abilities.

But when those same fighters step into the ring with Pacquiao he soon brings them down to his reality.

Pacquiao was a 20/1 underdog against Ledwaba but Ledwaba was not only beat he was destroyed.

Pacquiao was again an underdog against p4p top 5 fighter Barrera the king pin of the division. Pacquiao gave the Mexican great the worst beating of his career.

The fight was against Oscar was meant to be a mismatch, Oscar was meant to destroy him KO him 6. Pacquiao once again was an underdog at 3/1 but Pacquiao took Oscar apart and once again inflicted the worst beating on a HOF fighter.

After Pacquiao beat Diaz, he was asked about how far does he think he can go, Pacquiao said Hatton, Cotto was mentioned, and Arum said no, don't be silly Cotto is too big, and all the fight fans agreed that Cotto would destroy Pacquiao. I remember seeing a comment saying if Pacquiao fought Cotto

Well about a year later that fight came along and Pacquiao once again not only beat Cotto he destroyed him.

Same with Margarito, After the Oscar fight, everyone was saying Margarito would kill Pacquiao. He was too big too strong and Pacquiao should not even consider this fight.

And when that fight came along Pacquiao gave Margarito argubably the biggest beating of his life breaking his orbital bone, only Pacquiao's mercy saved Margarito from being KOed.

I'm trying to think of other fighters that were written off, not given an chance against there opponent and then making these would be experts look ******.

I can't think of anyone that has done it as many times as Manny Pacquiao, can you?
I 1st saw Pac with the at Barrera fight! That convinced me that Pac was at the same place as Duran SRL & Hearns! Pac has the very rare combination of speed, Power & Stamina!

I was called crazy when I predicted that Pac will be the 1st to KO Morales! Then I said that Pac will KO Hatton easy, That Pac will dominate DLH, That Floyd will duck Pac, That Cotto & Margarito is not ready for Pac. All these I predicted from 2007-2008 at ESB. All these Happened!!!

I thought Floyd will have the Balls to face Pac!!! I'm so dissapointed!!! That guys a Pusssy at the highest order!!

BTW! I predicted this before the PED excuses!

Andre Ward. At the start of Super 6 he was considered too green. Now he is the unquestioned king at 168.
