Has there been another fighter to blast through so many expectations as Pacquiao?

Has there been another fighter that has continued to exceed expectations as Pacquiao has?

Pacquiao has shocked the world on so many occasions, so many write him off give him no chance but not only does he cause upsets he annihilates guys that were meant to annihilate him.

It is no surprise that Pacquiao loses almost all fantasy fight on here, because people continually underestimate his abilities.

But when those same fighters step into the ring with Pacquiao he soon brings them down to his reality.

Pacquiao was a 20/1 underdog against Ledwaba but Ledwaba was not only beat he was destroyed.

Pacquiao was again an underdog against p4p top 5 fighter Barrera the king pin of the division. Pacquiao gave the Mexican great the worst beating of his career.

The fight was against Oscar was meant to be a mismatch, Oscar was meant to destroy him KO him 6. Pacquiao once again was an underdog at 3/1 but Pacquiao took Oscar apart and once again inflicted the worst beating on a HOF fighter.

After Pacquiao beat Diaz, he was asked about how far does he think he can go, Pacquiao said Hatton, Cotto was mentioned, and Arum said no, don't be silly Cotto is too big, and all the fight fans agreed that Cotto would destroy Pacquiao. I remember seeing a comment saying if Pacquiao fought Cotto

Well about a year later that fight came along and Pacquiao once again not only beat Cotto he destroyed him.

Same with Margarito, After the Oscar fight, everyone was saying Margarito would kill Pacquiao. He was too big too strong and Pacquiao should not even consider this fight.

And when that fight came along Pacquiao gave Margarito argubably the biggest beating of his life breaking his orbital bone, only Pacquiao's mercy saved Margarito from being KOed.

I'm trying to think of other fighters that were written off, not given an chance against there opponent and then making these would be experts look ******.

I can't think of anyone that has done it as many times as Manny Pacquiao, can you?

Two lies, first Pac was the betting favorite in both fights and second a lot of people were actually disappointed that Pac was going to fight Margy who hadn't done anything to deserve a title shot and wasn't even a top 10 jr middleweight.

Not lies at all, at the times the fights were first mention, people never gave Pacquiao a chance.

Check these boards at those times you will see that I am right.

Well then you should have said "people on NSB didn't give Pac a chance" but don't say "all the fans thought he would get destroyed" because it's not true. He was the favorite in both fights and in the second fight people were disappointed by his choice of opponent. That thread is just some shameless d|ck riding.

Judging by Pacs recent performances I struggle to think of a fighter who has not lived up tpo expectations as much as Pac. Each time he has gone into battle recently he has wrose than what was expected from him pre fight.

I'm talking of after the Diaz fight, their were rumours Pacquiao could fight Cotto if he moved up after Hatton.

Arum was asked about it after the Diaz fight and laughed, saying Cotto is too big.

At that time 99% of people were saying Pacquiao would get killed by Miguel.

Maybe that because he has set the bar so high, he can't shatter expectations every fight.

And thats what people were expecting him to do.

                    Victim of his own success.
