I doubt almost anyone has an actual list. I know I never made one up. To make a fair list I believe a person would need to spend many hours studying films and records of at least 50 fighters of the past who might have a strong case for a top 10 or 20 list. Most people, myself included just guess where they think Floyd belongs. I have not read all 11 pages of this thread so I ask you, do you have a top 10 or 20 list? If you you do and you have not yet posted it, then let's see your list. I don't have a list.

Neither Pac nor Floyd are top ten. These guys may be top 50 but definitely not top ten. There is a good reason for that. They are the only two great fighters of our generation. Great fighters of he past had to constantly compete with other great fighters. Today the only real competition for Mayweather IS Pacquiao and the only real competition for Pacquiao is Mayweather.

In the past fighters such as ALi, Robinson, Leonard all had to fight multiple great fighters. Today we do not have that level of competition to really challenge May or Pac.

I agree with that mate. The way i look at it, its the level of opposition you beat that ultimately decides your ATG status. Being the best of your era/generation doesn't neccessary make you an ATG.

This is true. That is why I like to see decent films of a fighter before I judge them. At the least I need to see good films of guys they fought. If I can't see films I have to say I don't really know how good that fighter was. I go mainly by what I see with my own eyes combined with the fighter's record. I won't go by stories and legends. I know many times I finally saw a film of a fighter who was suppose to be great and I thought they were badly overrated. Other times I would see films of an old time fighter and say "damn, that guy was great." I hope that make sense.

Russel played in the worst nba era ever..only 8 teams were in the nba...lol...shaq from 2000 would destroy russel who had no competition....shaq played in an era with some of the greatest centers.....Ewing, Robinson, mourning, the dream etc etc

I doubt it. I followed Foreman's career from the Olympics. The young Foreman weighed about 220 lbs. He was lean and very muscular and in perfect shape. For him to weigh 240 he would have to be a little fat or overly muscular in my opinion. The old 255 lb. Foreman was fat.
