A lotta opinions, but no one bothered to show their own list of their top 10 or 20 ATG.

    Show your list first.

Nothing! it's already far too late. The other ATG fighters had many more fights and multiple fights agains their top rivals, who were also ATGs

He would have to go back to the beginning, re-think his whole attitude and CHANGE to a SPORTING fighter's mentality, and fight the best opposition, at a time when it WAS the best opposition.

Mayweather doesn't even begin to come near this situation with his present resume and the cunning and opportunistic tactics which led up to each fght. In those days, champion boxers were looked up to by all, as role models. Mayweather makes the term "role model", an unreachable anachronism .

Aprt from these unpalatable (for the Maybug crazies) facts, there are more than enough All Time Greats, who, in their proper order, would amount to probably the top 50-75, possibly even 100. There are just far too many. all more deserving.

There would be no room for a Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ali's resume is 10X better than floyd's though.

What floyd has going for him is his skill and his undefeated record. His resume doesn't stack up against the top 10 greats.

Floyd's best wins are what? Cotto, Corrales, Castillo, Oscar?

          Pacquiao
          Martinez
          Canelo

He's fought 5 times in the last 5 years, there's no way he's fighting 5 more times unless he's holding in too long. He'll be 36 maybe 37 by the time that he fights again. People treat Floyd as if he's 25 not 35.

Good as he is, there is no way he is one of the ten best fighters ever, not even close and at 35, fighting once a year he wont get near. A great fighter he is though, no doubt about that.

Talent wise Floyd is already top 5 EVER. It's only resume wise he must catchup

How many hall of fame fighters did Ali beat? (Foster doesn't count bc he wasn't a good heavyweight.) Would Frazier be in the hall without the Ali win?

Floyd's inactivity has already cost him a shot at the top ten. If he really wants to make a case for flirting with the top ten he needs to do quite a bit. Khan in the fall. Take Sergio's lineal title at his weight. Beat Canelo hoping he gets some solid wins by now. At this point now he should fight a much slower pac and just embarass him. That would be 4 solid name wins in the next two years. As of right now I think that would be the best he could do.
