Floyd MAYWEATHER Jr's "Hit List".... Mission NEARLY Accomplished!

I love how guys were saying Floyd wouldn't fight any of those guys and when he did they now say the timing wasn't right. Floyd can't fight five guys in 3 months because that is basically what his haters are suggesting. But because he fought four of the original guys on his hitlist over the course of two years it means nothing. All the guys Floyd has beaten were current world champions. Mosley, Cotto, Ortiz, and even Marquez although he was not in his best weightclass.

so wait hold on? floyd puts out a hit list that people said he was too afraid to even attempt, beats them(with the exception of pac because of negos), loses barely any rounds in the process with in a 2 and a half years span and people have the gull to complain and talk about timing?
floyd must feel like thislol.
haters are definitely on their job
timing? gtfoh!
marquez: p4p #2, lw champ, coming off a ko, floyd was laid off for 2 years..(an older marquez took pac to school two years later)
mosley: p4p #3, #1 ww, coming off great ko win
ortiz: #2 ww, coming of foty performance, floyd haters/pac-t@rds praised a pac/ortiz fight
cotto: #1 sww and healthy weight

Being that Floyd won timing is the only thing that matters (even though Floyd is 4 years Cotto's elder). I'm not saying Cotto is still in his prime but it is clear Mayweather isn't in his prime either. Just because Mayweather is still undefeated and considered the best it doesn't mean that he can't be on a decline either. So there is a double standard.
If Cotto had won the fight, that wouldn't change the fact that it should've happened 4 years ago, no.

So many excuses..................no difference from Pachaters.
You guys have to admit that Floyd's competition lately has been great. He's been collecting and adding up HOF fighters in his resume...something that was missing early in his career. DLH, Mosley and JMM are HOF. Cotto could be one too.

I remember that people were laughing at "hit list" at the time.
I found it interesting to go back and revisit.
Mayweather’s Hit List Includes Pacquiao, Mosley, Cotto
http://www.boxnews.com.ua/en/news/53...o-Mosley-Cotto
If people thought Floyd Mayweather Jr. was going to return for a payday or two and then head back into retirement, they are very mistaken. Mayweather returns to the ring on July 18 against Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Floyd has been away from the ring since a December 07 knockout of Ricky Hatton.
Since Mayweather’s return, we’ve heard the constant mention of the infamous “hit list” that Floyd provided to Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer. Speaking exclusively with BoxingScene.com’s Luis Sandoval, Schaefer disclosed some of the names on Floyd’s hit list. Manny Pacquiao was an obvious name. Others like Shane Mosley and Miguel Cotto are there too. And even a potential fight the down the road with junior welterweight Victor Ortiz, who many view as a future superstar in the sport.
“Yes, he has a hit list. The same thing with Marquez. Both guys want to fight the best. Mayweather, should he win that fight, he wants to go on and [continue to] fight. There is Pacquiao on the list, there is Shane Mosley on the list, there is potentially a Miguel Cotto on the list and maybe down the road somebody like Victor Ortiz,” Schaefer said to BoxingScene.

But if you mention Pacquiao's 2/3 year run with the names he fought, they'll start mentioning the timing of some of those fights.....and rightfully so....but the double standards are funny!
