Quite frankly, I'm not sure why people didn't see this coming. Floyd Mayweather is not the 28yr old fighter prancing around the ring and doing as he pleases. Every fight of his going forward will have its rough moments and worse--it started a couple fights ago.

Anyway, what Floyd has done since his return has been a pleasant surprise. Would have been nice if he fought a couple guys earlier but it certainly didn't occur because he was "ducking." And to his credit, he fought them when they were - at worst - highly respected and coming off wins where their confidence was high. People like to focus on his opponent's flaws while forgetting they aren't the only ones closer to their retirement than they are to their primes. A Pacquiao or Martinez would cap his career off nicely and a win over either/both would lift his dossier to heights seen by but a few. Nevertheless, he's had an all-time great career regardless.

Oh yeah, and of course the Benjamin Button disease which Floyd severely suffers from. "He waits till they get old" as he apparently becomes younger. Yet he's closer to Bernard Hopkins age, than Canelo or Ortiz, and is older than Pac, Cotto, Bradley, etc. Let's not forget how he also waits till fighters go on a decline. Because you know, Floyd is as fast, as powerful, as elusive, as quick on his feet, as he was in the Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Arturo Gatti fights.
        floyd really isn't 35, he's 25.

              Baldomir - yes

So there you have it he beat Baldomir at his best and possibly Ortiz although it remains to be seen how his career turns out at 147.
You say Gatti was out of his prime like that fight would have been any different had it been 5 years earlier or something. Judah should be his only mark. Everyone else has looked good before he fought them.

2012 : beat Cotto, Mosley, Marquez, Ortiz and tried to have a fight against Pac.

THEY WERE PAST PRIME. HE WAITED FOR THE GOOD TIMING. HE SHOULD HAVE FOUGHT THE 5 GUYS IN ONE YEAR.

True that. Although someone pointed out that he reminds them of the mid-thirties James Toney, only more athletic. If he can continue to master fighting off the ropes--and can take the few shots that are going to be his cracking his chin going forward--perhaps he can fight to 37 without seeing a loss. I doubt it though.

Floyd-Cotto would have happened if Arum upped his guarantee from 8 million to 10 million each for Margo and Cotto fights. Arum said theres no way he could afford it, (bull****) and floyd left to fight DLH, and Hatton at 20 million+ each. Then fought Cotto for 32 million plus PPV. Arum was being a cheap ass and thought floyd was bluffing. I dont think Floyd even knew he would be making more money than DLH used to.
