Floyd and cotto 05-07 makes floyd about 8 mil and cotto about 3 mil. In 2012 those same 2 fighters made $40 mil plus and put on a great fight, proably alot better than in 05. DO you think it was worth the wait?
I'm Not their accountant and don't care about money

Fight came 5 years late, it's simple as that. It doesn't matter what cotto did to a washed up marg and Mayorga

In Fall 2009, people were saying Floyd was petrified of Mosley. That Mosley would destroy Floyd. Remember when Bernard and Shane came into the ring with Kellerman in the Marquez post-fight? OMG!! Floyd was stuttering!@!.

Seven months later, Floyd dominates Mosley.

Then people are saying Floyd cherrypicked Mosley.

Don't rewrite history. I'm bored today and loving the search feature. I'm getting all Boolean and shyt.

Cottovs Pacquiao, barely beating Clottey in his previous fight and no trainer.
vs Margarito, Cotto at his best
vs Mayweather, Cotto beat Margarito, Mayorga, and Foreman barely losing one round per fight.

        Ortiz
vs Mayweather, he beat Berto in a fight of the year.

If you see, Mayweather fought all of them after a great perfomance.
The only one I give him credit for is Mosley and lets not pretend it wasn't 17 months or something after he beat Margarito which, in all honesty, wasn't that impressive a win in hindsight.

Cotto's win over Margarito was obviously even less significant.

Ortiz was simply not ready to fight Mayweather yet.

It's not uncommon for great fighters/HOFers to not have fought in the direct prime. I believe that Mayweather would have had an easier time with a 140lb Cotto. Cotto is better now than he was at the time people claimed Mayweather was ducking him (when really it was Cotto and his people saying he wasn't ready)

Pacman fought an older and weight drained DLH
            Pacman fought Hatton after Floyd
            Pacman fought Mosley after Floyd
Pacman fought Margarito after Mosley destruction
Pacman to his credit did fight Clottey who was expected to do more
Pacman still 'struggled' with an older and smaller Marquez 3 out of 3 times
Pacman is fighting a young, prime, hungry, undefeated Bradley

Mayweather eventually fought DLH at DLH's class
Mayweather fought Hatton a147, but undefeated and confident
Mayweather fought a rested Mosley after destroying the feared Margarito
Mayweather fought a rejuvinated, bigger, younger, champion in Ortiz
Mayweather didn't struggle with Marquez, but was bigger
Mayweather was pushed by a more confident and comfortable Cotto at 154

Not picking on Pacman or Mayweather for any reason other than to make the point that "it happens". Some fights will be "the right time" some fights will be "the best time"...Boxing politics, PPV dates, money, promoters, contracts, etc don't always allow fights to happen when fans and fighters want them to.

Sooo, the list was DOPE when he said it.

But when he accomplished it, it's WACK.

              I see.

Its not about you. These are professional fighters. This is their job. SO they should fight when you want rather than maximize their earning potential? Man you gotta get the **** off your high horse. By waiting you got a great fight, probably better than the 07 fight would've been, and both fighters got top dollar for giving that to you.

Not when they're every other ****in' thread there's not.

It's always the same bull**** from Floyd fans. And I'm not just taking aim at you here, either. It's always the same tired ass lines I've been reading from you guys for years : "Oh, Floyd will never get any credit", "Floyd is in a no win situation", and so on, and so forth, and I've been reading it since 2006. It gets tiresome, bro.

Furthermore, why the **** do you guys seem to care so much about the opinions of strangers on the internet when it comes to "your" guy?

These kids don't write the history books, you know. Why does it bother you guys so much that some people just won't give the guy credit for anything?

It doesn't bother Floyd, why should it bother you? There's a reason you guys get pegged for being overly emotional ****s : Because of threads like this.

(And on the whole, I normally agree with your posts, for the record.)
