If you went by what was said by Lampley, youd think Taylor outlanded Hopkins 4 to 1.

    So correct.

Ignorant because I have counted punches thrown and landed and compared them against Compubox and found them to be conistently off by 15-25%?

Yeah right Bhops landed more, that is while he is holding Taylor in a clinch.

Give it a rest folks Bhops lost. Those scores by the judges were even favoring Bhops. I have it 116 - 111 for Taylor.

          You couldn't have weaker points.

Hopkins was NOT the more passive of the two. He threw AND landed more often. Which part of that don't you understand?

They younger fighter is supposed to have more energy, and again he was aprehensive, missing, and seemed fairly winded after 7 rounds.

Popular opinion (again) seems to be split, so there goes your "most of the people" notion.

For all of HBO's talk of how much more he was landing the jab (which was BS) they conveniently left out the jab stats, which are ALWAYS with those two pics I posted in the 1st post of this thread.

Hopkins took the majority of Taylor's jabs again.
Yeah, but did not each fighter landed at most 10 punches a round?

4-5 power jabs landed per round is not that bad.

lol, SERIOUSLY, if you were blind, you wonder why there was even a rematch.. i recall several times during the fight screaming out after Lampley would comments saying "Taylor's didn't even connect, look at Hopkins!".. right now im just at a "throw your hands up and say, whatever" kinda mood. there's no point in arguing anything.

I watched this fight with a bunch of casual fans, and afterward they said "so how will the boxing community view this?" and I said, "Well, anyone who didn't think Hopkins won the first fight will surely be convinced that he was robbed in the second." And then I come on here and find the same people hating on Hopkins. His defense was sick tonight, he outlanded taylor significantly in power punches, and was landing counters at will. Taylor was the passive one, and the obvious one at that. Hopkins also stopped Taylor dead in his tracks a few times as well. For those that praise Taylor for the 11th, Hop came out and did close to that in the 12th.

Did you have the volume on?

Before the fight, Nadey told BOTH fighters in the dressing room that if the opponent was the one holding, you may throw.

If you were paying attention, in almost every clinch, Nadey could CLEARLY be heard telling TAYLOR he was holding, thus allowing Hopkins to throw and land in the clinch.

Well at least we don't have to see the old man get screwed out of a decent decision anymore.
