The only person to blame for this loss was Hopkins. He had six months to find a new way to beat Taylor and he used the exact same strategy. What the hell did he think would happen?

He kept saying how he'd execute Taylor...the only thing he did was execute the crowd's interest.

If he wanted to win, he should have been much more aggressive and asserted himself. He shouldn't have to hope that judges give him the wishy-washy rounds.

Because they aren't experts, but you are? Seriously though ... I'm pretty sure it's not just one guy that sit and counts for compubox. It's probably a whole team that compares and comes to a concencus.

Hopkins was NOT the more passive of the two. He threw AND landed more often. Which part of that don't you understand?

They younger fighter is supposed to have more energy, and again he was aprehensive, missing, and seemed fairly winded after 7 rounds.

Popular opinion (again) seems to be split, so there goes your "most of the people" notion.

yeah because "most of the people" on this board are ******s. Most people significant (boxing experts) thought Taylor won except for Kellerman. So there goes your "weak" aregument about how the opinion is split. You're a Hop fan so you obviously think Hop won, I'm neither and I think Taylor won. One tip though, you don't gotta always try to make others look like jackasses...just a thought.

but let's keep in mind that Taylor's jabs did not count as power shots, which is based on a purely technical way to draw a distinction betweed non-power and power punches

4-5 power jabs landed per round is not that bad.

When they're overshadowed by Bernards crisp and flush counter (power shots), they're not very meaningfull.

Taylor averages landing 15 - 30 jabs per round.

In both fights with Hopkins he landed below 6 / round.

That's not impressive or telling in the least.

You make yourslef look like a jack ass.

Popular opinion on this board was split, clearly.

On the brodcast, Lederman and Steward had it for Taylor, Merchant had it a draw, and RJJ and Kellerman had it for Hopkins.

Again, you're exagerating and talking about things you don't know in the least.

Try it some time. Watch the fight in slow mo, each round 3 times for each fighter, count and average.

Look at ESPN boards and other experts, most had it for Taylor.

That is impressive ! That shows how good Hopkins actually is.

You're right, it's not impressive, but neither was Hopkins.
