He slips and blocks punches, and that doesn't count in his favour if the guy that's throwing looks impressive throwing with a lot of power and authority, even when the punches are missing.

    Don't forget, he's 40.

I don't think he could have gotten much more out of his body with how old he is.

    One thing's for sure:

If Taylor had so much trouble with a 40 year old Hopkins, I can only imagine what would have happened if he was in with the B-Hop who KO'd Tito, or the one that stopped Glen Johnson.

Because the majority of the ones that did land weren't effective because many of them were glancing.

LOL! Did you ever seem to notice that Hopkins respected Taylors jab a lot more then the last fight? Nope, because your a Hopkins nuthugger. And it's not ALL about landing jabs, jabs are great for setting up big rights or lefts, in Taylor's case his left hook which was causing some damage. Once again I reiterate, it's not all about the landing of the jab as long as it's there and it bothers him enough to set up a power shot then it's fine by me.

        Can you please shut up?

Everyone has already heard you 1 000 483 285 cents on this topic. We get it - You think Hopkins won...

Just go to sleep...you're just getting annoying, you're not doing anymore convincing.

I thought Taylor's biggest problem was the he wasn't following up his jabs with anything. He was consistently missing when he tried to follow up on his jabs.

Hopkins still respected Taylor's jab a lot though. It definitely bothered him.

You're an idiot, and you make no sense.

Taylor didn't set anything up with the jab you idiot. It was mostly followed by missing Hopkins with a right hand, or desperatly trying to grab him.

It's very apparent that you're desperatly trying to know what you're talking about, but when you make comments like:

"Taylor made Hopkins passive" when Hopkins out threw AND out landed him

              AND

"Jabs don't have to land to be effecftive"

Yes, when they're thrown and landed frequently to set up shots and establish range, that has SOME truth to it, althought it has NOTHING to do with scoring,

but in this fight Taylor barely landed a jab, missed with a lot of them, and then missed the follow up right hand or clinched.

Meet the ignore list, you and your non sense have wasted enough of my time. I have no patience for that.

Holy ****, compubox is ALWAYS correct..and even if it was, Hopkins landed 6 more ****ing punches, holy **** now that is a definite landside. Both fighters were passive and if you can't admit that then you truly are a nuthugger.

I think you don't give Bitchnard enough credit here. Any fighter of any age would have trouble looking good against him. He is definitely something all fighters should aspire to become, and JT is a LONG way from acheiving that.

I don't see where you draw any critisism from my post.

It was a compliment to Hopkins if anything, but you are correct with the latter half of your post.

I tend to agree with Bozo here.

I had the fight 115-113. This was a mirror of the 1st fight, except I believe Hopkins landed the much cleaner and telling blows.

It's really sickening to hear Lampley talk about Taylor as opposed to Hopkins. I watched the fight for the first 5 rounds with the sound on, but muted it after I heard Lampley screaming after every jab that landed by Taylor (which wasn't much by the way).

I'm going to pay my respect to Hopkins. I think it's time to get out of the game.
