Regardless of how much better a fight Manny is over Margarito.
When you fight someone with such a HUGE size advantage over you, it is very risky. In essence it means you cant slip for even a minute or its game over; aka you have to fight the perfect fight.
Its no coincidence that Manny was the most beat he ever been in a long time.
So you seem to be saying yes because of the size disadvantage. By this Cotto, ODH, Victor and Baldomir were risks for floyd.
Is that correct?Comment

To the other question non of those fighters offer as big a gap between Marg and manny.
But i did think Ortiz was somewhat risky, its just too bad we can never know. But i do give him prps for taking that fight.Comment

now my question. which fight you think floyd took a huge risk where he is the underdog?

Counter punching is counter punching doesn't matter about subtle differences the objective is the same and Mayweather is much better at it. If we want to go down your route no fighter fights the same they all have differences in their approach. If what i say is dumbo stuff what would you class comparing Cotto's style to Mayweathers? You don't seem to be so interested in those posts what is your gender i mean "agenda".Comment

margarito was a huge risk with zero credit. pacquiao had zero advantage in that fight. the weight difference was hyuuuge. way huge. they're both one-dimensional, amateurish, come-forward fighters. they both come from battle-ridden fights. margarito>>>>bradley, marquez, alexander, khan, berto, ortiz, you name small fighters.
now my question. which fight you think floyd took a huge risk where he is the underdog?
Floyd not being the underdog is because of how good he is. Manny wasn't the underdog against Margarito, so how is this risk?
SO either niether has taken a risk, or both have. you choose.Comment

Props to you for actually answering the question.Comment

Oh, so he's retiring now? LMFAO.
Earlier this year Schafaer said he would fight 3 times this year, and Floyd just recently said that he'd fight again later this year and have 4 more fights after Cotto. Now, a week later or whatever, he's 80 percent sure of retirement? (for the 15th time).
Just goes to show that he's all BS.
80% sure he is retiring, didnt floyd say that? Sounds like he wants to retire to me!
Floyd fans shouldnt criticise Pac for fighting dangerous guys on a regular basis. Floyd fights dangerous guys as well sometimes, just not nearly as often. If he dont fight often he needs to step up the competion.Last edited by hugh grant; 05-07-2012, 12:56 PM.Comment
