Here's my RbR (did it for CBZ). Feel free to disagree. Wouldn't be the first time:

    Round One

Good feeling out round...Mayweather blocking well and landing some good jabs...Cotto had some answers late and came at the body...Mayweather with some swift counters.

    Mayweather 10-9

    Round Two

One of the better action rounds of Mayweather's career...Maywweather fought largely off the ropes..won the first half of the round and they contested hot down the stretch...Cotto landed some nice hooks...Mayweather cleaner.

    Mayweather 20-18

    Round Three

Cotto had a solid frame, counter jabbing and landing some nice body shots...Mayweather countered well early but was outboxed in spots down the stretch.

    Mayweather 29-28

    Round Four

Early on, a clinic of Mayweather right hands...Cotto landed some nice stuff to the body in the last thirty seconds, but not enough to steal the frame.

    Mayweather 39-37

    Round Five

Really good, hard round...Cotto on top of Mayweather for long stretches...blocking better than in previous rounds, but still getting touched...caught Mayweather to the head and body well...May closed strong...Cotto round.

    Mayweather 48-47

    Round Six

Less eventful round...Cotto went boxer after landing some heavy body shots...Floyd' bloodied up on the nose...maybe Cotto's clearest round so far...all even.

    57-57

    Round Seven

Cotto went back to pressing and had some luck taking the right hand away for stretches...Mayweather won with nice combo punching in the second half.

    Mayweather 67-66

    Round Eight

Awesome round...Mayweather tatooing him off the ropes early...Cotto came on and worked him to the body...rough round and Cotto's.

    Even 76-76

    Round Nine

Mayweather holding more this round...Cotto controlled much of the round but Floyd had a strong late rally...Not enough to swing it.

    Cotto 86-85

    Round Ten

Bit of a rally round for Mayweather...Cotto still did good body work, but Mayweather found the target well and did the better work over 3 minutes.

    Even 95-95

    Round Eleven

Another solid frame...Cotto had moments but Mayweather was a step ahead with a strong, clean punching finish.

    Floyd 105-104

    Round Twelve

Floyd had a masterful final round...had Cotto ready to go but Miguel held to finish...best battle of Floyd's career.

    Floyd 115-113

Official scores: 117-111 twice, 118-110 for Mayweather

i had it 8-4 mayweather but i could hav easily given cotto a couple of close rounds.

oh god just shut Floyd could've done this, Floyd could've done that "if he wanted to". let me guess Floyd could've stopped bleeding also "if he wanted to" XDD Floyd was missin like crazy.. It really isn't.

The jab is the only shot that's ever landed with regularity. The trailing hand very rarely hits Mayweather as they require more movement and with his eye's and reflexes, he see's them coming and makes them miss.

You need a jab to give Mayweather problems and you need to be the bigger guy.

Cotto bullied Floyd (did his best Carlos Molina impression) and landed the occasional jab that surprised Floyd. Every flurry from Cotto and every surprising jab elicited a reaction from the crowd, and I'm sure from fans watching home. But, you can see that Floyd avoided most of what Cotto was offering and countered well off the ropes. In the middle of the ring, Mayweather won almost every minute. The thing with Floyd is, if he gets caught a couple of times and doesn't embarrass his opponent, viewers mentally score it as a win for the opponent. Sometimes Floyd just does his thing defensively (even in tight spaces) and outpoints an opponent. That's what he did to Oscar. That's what he did to Cotto.

As an aside, many are comparing the Cotto/Pac fight to this fight. Cotto hit Pacquiao A LOT in that fight. Pacquiao was busted up, too. That fight has often been cited by those who believe Pacquiao is taking performance enhancing drugs because of all of the punches he walked through.

Good fight. I will say that I believe Mayweather looked a little too comfortable against the ropes -- a little too James Toney or old-man-Roy Jones. It wasn't quite the same as the De La Hoya fight, where Mayweather still seemed to have spring in his step, even a nervousness about him. As a Mayweather fan, I almost want to see him retire.
Agreed. I also remember Pac looked lioke he had been in a horribl brawl at the end of that fight. Isn't that the fight that he got cauliflower ear? Had to be because Clottey didn't do that, hell I threw more punches against Manny from my living room chair that night than Clottey did and he was paid.

Styles makes fights...Triangle theories does not work..Floyd does not fight the same way as JMM...
Floyd won a wide UD. Barely getting by is what Pac did with Marquez twice, or what Floyd did with Castillo the first time in a close fight.

Floyd won a wide UD. You guys are desperate.

Erik morales was befuddled by pacquiao's foot speedce****ially in the third fight. Not sure what mayweather could do about that. Shoulder rolls don't help. Have you ever seen mayweather go straught back like he did multiple times tonight? It was weird. His vaunted defense looked like it had real holes onight. When cotto did the double left hook, to the body and then the head, floyd was too slow on occasion to block or roll the head shot. Very dangerous development against pacqiuao who has substantially faster hands than cotto.

Honestly, I didn't see Cotto getting a lot one. He was trying. But, he was basically swinging and missing against the ropes. And, he was getting countered to death. Mayweather's reflexes looked fine to me. I mean, he was in with the best jr middleweight in the world and people are going nuts because Cotto was able to land his jab with a bit of regularity and was able to bully Mayweather. Landing the jab was a bit surprising. But I figured he would be able to bully Mayweather. Either way, I think {ac's size really hurts him against Mayweather. He won't be able to bully Mayweather and he doesn't have a jab. Now, a lead left might work some for him. But. he's short and will get countered probably worse than Cotto did. The guy that will beat Mayweather is Bradley.

he thing is cotto made him work for it, but floyd tied him up and held a lot to slow cotto down.

                then cotto gased as usual,

stood there with gloves static taking right hands and combinations..had barely a jab..

made no adjustments and layed on floyd a lot after round 6

                cotto won maybe 3-4 rounds.

pac will give floyd hell at 35 and martinez would as well..

                floyd isnt the same

                • Scorecards were **** on.

Cotto wasn't landing most his punches. Even when pushing he fight an taking Mayweather to the ropes he was coming off second best. You guys are letting your dislike of Floyd cloud your judgement, he won 8-4.

                  • Cotto's Defense in this fight was Very Very Impressive.

Props to Pedro Diaz, Floyd Could not get off his Missle Straight Right like he normally could have.

Hard fought fight, in my Emanuel Steward impression "Just As I thought"

Cotto came to fight. Floyd was just the better man.

                    Good account from both fighters.

You could flip the coin and say Pac had Cotto running for dear life, neither fight would make a difference. Mayweather would win a close fight against Pac. He's the best fighter I've ever seen since SRL.

Marquez speed in both the FLoyd and Pacquiao fight was about the same so stop with your b.s.Pacquiao also struggled against Marquez in the first 2 fights and also got questionable decisions against Marquez.
