10 to 2 is how I scored it. Cotto fought hard and made Floyd work harder than what I thought he would but Cotto was not winning the rounds. Floyd's nose was bleeding WOW, a single single jab can do that. There were some close rounds but Floyd was winning the rounds. The people that are bring up the Pac - Cotto fight knows styles make fights. Yes Pac stopped Cotto and Floyd didn't, this means NOTHING. Pac struggled with Marquez and Marquez didn't win a round against Floyd.

Exactly, the better technical fighter doesn't always win. Boxing is more about how different styles match up. Another example of this was the Dawson vs Pascal fight.

        I would watch it again.

Not a mayweather fan but I think Floyd did what he had to do to get a way with the victory... He showed respect to cotto and I commend him for that becuz I know that was a tuff fight for him.. Very entertaining fight, the score cards were off. Floyd won by maybe 3 rounds in my opinion.. Cotto brought the fight to him but I wouldn't confuse the result like people did with the PAC jjm fight just because he did more than people thought he would do

I agree too. I think he let him survive that round. He seemed to give Coto time to regain his composure before he would wack him some more.

yeah I know, but as a fan it's uncomfortable to score close rounds without re-watching it, we slate them a lot but judges have a tough enough job

well we can at least agree FMJ dominated, there's no way anyone could give the fight to Cotto

Styles make fights.
pac was bullying cotto around and pushing cotto back. if cotto did that to floyd what will pac do?

yes styles make fights and pac is all wrong for floyd.

Floyd's weakness has been the straight left. he got touched up by judah, corley, and now cotto with straight lefts. That's Pac's best punch.

Also floyd now has a very high propensity of lyiing in the ropes. ADVANTAGE PACQUIAO.

add those up, floyd's reluctance to fight pac is vindicated.

" i dont want floyd fighting southpaws"

                  -floyd's dad.

When you're throwing a jab it's a quick movement that requires little in terms of changes in body position. When Pac or anyone else leads with a left hand, their body position changes drastically when they get ready to throw. Mayweather has just about the best eye in the sport when it comes to detecting movement, he see's them instantly and reacts.

The jab is hard to see and move away from in that split second, the lead with the trailing hand is much easier to see.
Not really because you can also flick a left hand lead with almost no change in body position especially if you have a high guard stance like Pac. A body position change when you are going for a power punch because then you could see the fighter squaring up..

But if you are going to flick it then it would have almost the same effect as a jab (as far as angle and quickness)..Plus Pac also likes to feint like he is throwing before changing and flicking that left hand lead.. So which makes it deceiving for most fighters..
