I think that Cotto will lose a decision--but I don't know and neither do you unless you can magically see into the future.

Your statement is another form of **** talking.

Not really, it was a pretty realistic post actually.

Stepping aside for the moment, consider this:

Floyd's resume (assuming he wins in 60 hours) will look like this:

          Delahoya
          Mosley
          Marquez
          Cotto
          Hatton
          Gatti
          Corrales
          Judah
          Castillo
          Genaro
          Etc
          Etc

We all understand the relative timing of some of these fights. Granted. But Floyd will be able to go into a Pacquiao fight with a resume that looks ridiculously good to most casual , in retrospect.

Example, I would of given Floyd more credit for beating Margarito than Baldomir.

Regardless of Baldomir being technically the lineal champion and getting damn near the same amount.

I understand why Floyd fought Baldomir and I may of done the same thing, but the reasoning still stands, when it comes to resume and credit... he would of got more for Margarito.
Years later, with what we know about Margs, I wonder how much credit he would've got?

But when I say "margarito" to casual/mid-level fans, they say "cheater".

People hate Floyd.. Despise him. But most non-Mexicans despise a cheater more.

Hell even moreso... He had bricks and Floyd still woulda whooped him. You don't get less credit when you beat an opponent who was cheating to get an advantage.

We talkin after the fact here.

At the time, Floyd undoubtedly took the easier road.

I'd say we can agree to that, if not, there is mucho bias going on.

I dont knock him for it, I understand it, but thats what happened.

I actually like Cotto. I wanted to mimic his style when I first got into boxing. Unlike a lot of people on here I have no bias against a fighter, even if I don't like them which is only 2..Amir and Margarito. I think I'm also one of few that like Floyd and Manny almost equally. Haha. Reason I'm never in those threads bashing one of them.

Posters often quantify floyd's resume using factors like, who the guy's promoter is, what floyd said about him on 24/7, whether floyd said he used his "a" game or not. I don' t think those are good variables to use when assessing a pro fighters resume.
