I'm a huge fan of Cotto.. I've been to his last 8 fights... I will be in Vegas still supporting Cotto.. But most of us "real" boxing fans know that Floyd is the best p4p fighter in the world.. And we also know that Floyd is on another level.. So I'll still support Cotto cause he's my favorite fighter but I know that he is heavily outmatched and will be outclassed.. But I will put 100 dollars down on Cotto to win.. Just in case he lands a lucky punch.. Lol

Well said. I've been a fan of both of these guys for a long time and I'm really happy for Miguel and his getting a shot at Floyd Mayweather. I always believed he would do well against Floyd and I stand by that. I just didn't know he would be so damaged by the time they fought.

its funny how a fighters fans sometime reflect the fighters persona..i think the style of a fighter has to blend with yours and that is what kind of attracts you to follow that fighter cause you can relate to it

Floyd fans are a fickle bunch. They say Cotto is overrated, they say he cannot win. They say he gets obliterated. But when Floyd wins, (because he's supposed to), they will cry when people agree with them about the aforementioned.

I think if you ask posters one on one they will acknowledge this is a good matchup. On the forum they trash it because it suits an agenda and, if you read alot of articles, many writers are basically saying don't buy this because its a joke fight that floyd is fighting only to make money.

Hopefully its worth the cost.

I have been to 3 out of his last 4 fights. I didn't go to the Mayorga one, I will root for Cotto because he is my favorite fighter but Mayweather is going to give him a lot of trouble.

They talk about IN-RING Cotto. Miguel's boxing limitations and abilities.

They don't talk about who in the Cotto family may be on drugs, or they don't make every conversation gay this-gay that. They don't obsess about fights within the Cotto family.

They don't call Cotto a coward or a quitter (Mexican fans did that).

I have noticed that Mayweather fans largely discuss technique, etc.

Saying floyd will obliterate cotto is not talking about cotto's ability as a fighter but its more about floyd being a superior fighter at this time and based on what we've seen of both in the ring, expect floyd to win handily.

The other is people, should floyd win, attributing the win to deficiencies in cotto when, in their mind the win is attributed to floyds skill and talent.
