Freddie Roach is an Overrated Trainer, I agree with Floyd Sr.

I have nothing against Freddie Roach, but Floyd Sr., Robert Garcia, Lenny De Jesus and various other trainers are right when they said Freddie wouldn't be this famous without Manny Pacquiao.

Floyd Sr. was actually right about Roach years ago, Freddie and Floyd Sr. have beefed for closed to 10 years now and I remember several years ago Floyd Sr. said Roach is not a trainer and that Manny Pacquiao trains himself. Trainers have said if Roach was so great how come his fighters have no defense and don't know how to set traps or avoid the same punch over and over? Khan and pac both get hit with uppercuts and straight punches over and over and have no defensive skills at all. If Roach is so great how come he never taught Manny Pacquiao to cut off the ring against runners?

I agree 100 percent about Manny training himself, I don't think Roach is as great as people say he is. Roach is an ego maniac and attention whore who is enjoying his new found fame since being on 24/7.

Remember Michael Moorer? He was a better eye than Roach! Watch the Pacquiao Hatton 24/7 and it was Moorer who actually helped devise the plan to knockout Hatton, he actually was showing Pacman real adjustments not that same 123 mittwork that Roach does with Pacman, Moorer actually went over strategy.

After Moorer was getting praise Roach let him go and cited it was because Moorer was rude to people lol, I have friends who visit the wildcard and they say that one eyed guy Shane Langford is rude as ****, but he still works there, the reason he is still there is cause he isn't a threat, Moorer was a threat and Roach knew Moorer was getting more credit.

Pacquiao studied tape for the De La Hoya fight and that was all pacquiao not Roach, it was Pacman and Buboy who were going over the style on 24/7 of how to beat Oscar.

In the 3rd fight with JMM Pacman abandoned that style, he didnt throw lead lefts much, but when pacman threw the lead left like he did against Oscar he landed flush on Marquez. Pacman also chased JMM playing into his game, instead of standing in the middle and wait for JMM.

If Roach was such a great trainer why didn't he tell Pacman that Marquez never blocks punches? Why didn't he tell Pacman that JMM always feints and feints and than attacks telling manny not to fall for that?

And now Roach just said that he doesn't think Bradley will use the Marquez style! LOL and Manny and Buboy said Bradley might use the style of Marquez and they wanted to work on that more and get some runners and defensive sparring partners, but Roach told them Bradley wont use that style that Bradley will be aggressive.

“I have one counter-puncher in case Bradley mimics Juan Manuel Marquez because Manny and Buboy (Fernandez) think that might happen but I don’t see it. I think he will be aggressive and I don’t think his style will change that much and will come in with his head first.”
So Roach isn't even preparing for all options, Manny doesn't even need Roach, does Roach even watch Bradley, cause Bradley can change his style up instantly from aggressive to defensive fighter on the back foot. Even Manny and Buboy know Bradley is capable of being defensive and a jab and move guy, Roach is either slipping up or he was overrated to begin with.

Everyone knows Roach is hugely overrated by a certain group of ****** nationalist fans, but he is still a world class trainer nonetheless.

Any trainer who trains a real big time guy always gets overrated, to me that is the nature of the business. To me it has nothing to do with the work of that big time guy because a trainer is important and whatever their method it obviously meshes with that big time guy now anybody might be able to do a good job with that guy but would they do as good, hard to say.

Still people always expect that trainer to be able to work miracles and do the same thing with other guys. Even if the guys are nothing like the guy he became known for.

There is no suchthing as a perfect trainer in relation to every guy out there, but for a specific guy I do believe there is a perfect trainer for every guy (as long as the guy is willing to buy in).

You couldn't be more wrong. First off, trainers get more blame and more credit than they really deserve, that's the truth.

At the end of the day, it's the fighter who is fighting so of course that's who deserves the credit. There are plenty of good trainers out there who just haven't had great talent.

Not to drop names but I know Moorer personally and he is a difficult guy to deal with and I have been told the same by many people who know him. He's also very punch drunk and maybe that had something to do with it. When you run a gym, you can't have anyone step on your toes and that has nothing to do with ego.

Second, Pac and Buboy don't pay Roach millions to sit around and know nothing, your delusional and I can see your trolling but I'm bored so I will indulge you. Roach knows his stuff and called out the DLH fight even though people thought he was crazy for accepting it because of DLH size but it was ROACH who knew DLH was shot and at that weight would be nothing.....he was right.

Lastly, as far as adopting "Marquez' style"...hahahahah you think it's so easy to fight like JMM? I guess every boxer in the world should just learn to fight like Mayweather because nobody has beaten him right? I mean, just walk into a gym and learn to fight like Mayweather because it's so easy....holy **** people are ******.

Bradley can't imitate JMM no more than I can BECAUSE HE'S NOT JMM!!

Roach is a great trainer, he's brought up many champions. He's a 4 time trainer of the year and has had great fighters seek him out like DLH and many pro MMA fighters.

I mean Roach learned to train under the legendary Eddie Futch, do you even know who that is? To discredit Roach is to discredit boxing, stop the trolling and hate and respect Roach, he's earned it.

I do agree that Roger and Floyd Sr. are vastly, vastly underrated. And Roach the opposite. But Roach is an excellent trainer. He's just gotten older and taken on too much. Manny Steward is even worse.
