Prime 147 Shane Vs Prime 147 Floyd

Shane at 135 reminds me to a lesser extent of Michael Moorer at 175. People love to overrate both fighters in those 2 weight-classes. Just because of how they look and how pretty their record seemed on paper.
Mosley IBF LW title holder 32-0(30ko's)
Moorer WBO LHW title holder 22-0(22ko's)
Meh, at least Mosley had a Philip Holiday in his resume.Comment

I wasn't a good win for Floyd, but neither was Leija or Molina at that point.
And still, Castillo alone puts Floyd's 135 resume over Shane's.Comment
Why?
The one's Oscar fought are better, absolutely.
The irrelelvant, washed up ones Shane fought were about as good, if not worse.
Wow, we're finally coming full circle with this, you & I. The bold. I bring up that fact about the Oscar & Shane that Floyd fought & you hate. The Shane Floyd fought was relevant because of the Margarito fight. But it is a fact to anyone with eyes that see that he was washed up a ****.
Just like those fighters were relevant for Mosley at the time he fought them. Were they washed up? Maybe. But they were relevant. I'm almost stunned by this post. Coming from such high & mightyness. I'm tempted to sig this quote from you. I really am.
Oscar & Mosley were washed up as **** when Floyd fought them. By your logic, can we then assume that giving him the credit you do for those victories is a little tiny bit hypocritical maybe??
And Oscar was a Top 5 SWW at the time, and Shane was the #1 ranked WW, and Top 10 P4P. It's a bad comparison.
No one was calling for Shane to fight Leija or Molina at that point......Last edited by 4Corners; 04-21-2012, 12:24 PM.Comment

You are really comparing Jesse James Leija and John John Molina in 1998 and to Oscar in 2007 and Mosley in 2010? Good Lord.
Both Leija and especially Molina were absolutely irrelevant at that time. You do know that, right?
You do know that Leija was stopped by a ancient well passed prime Azumah Nelson 2 years prior, Yes? and a fight before that was stopped by Oscar in 2 rounds?
Molina hadn't won a single relevant fight in YEARS when he fought Shane. His last relevant fight was getting beaten handily by Oscar in 1995.
Molina wasn't in the Top 10 and Leija was re entred into the Top 10 for beating a 40 year old Azumah Nelson.
Mosley was the ****ing Lineal Champion at 147. Top 3 P4P worldwide. And you are comparing him to Leija and Molina in 1998?Jesus Christ. Seriously.
Oscar was in the Top 5 at Jr Mw. Actually had a decent win in recent years.
Again, Molina wasn't even ranked and Leija was newly ranked. Both, washed up completely.
You're genuinely beyond clueless.Comment

Leija and Molina in 98 are the same as Mayweather's wins over Oscar and Mosley.
According to Bushbaby they were both relevant in 1998.Comment

I almost left my seat when I read his post. The high & mighty is going to sit their & crap on Mosley's accomplishment, but say Oscar & Mosley were washed up when Floyd fought them & he jumps to defend, wow.Comment
