Not really when you're trying to talk on who deserves the higher divisional ranking. That's not the case with Floyd and Canelo now is it?

Also, the Floyd-Baldo and Canelo-Badlo were years apart. Mares-Vic and Vic-Moreno were a little bit less than a year apart. And, Vic had a win over that same faded Perez you're trying to give Mares credit draw for in between the two.

So Vic was pretty much the same fighter when he faced both guys. Baldomir wasn't. It was in the same division as well when Baldomir wasn't. And, Floyd dominated Baldomir, it was a shut out. Did Baldomir win a round against Floyd? Mares didn't dominate Vic at all.

The dumbest shit I have ever heard was trying to compare both situations.

They need to make that fight, all there is to it. Oscar was asked about it and he said "I do want to make that fight but not anytime soon", which sounds more like he doesn't want to make the fight. I don't give Mares much of a chance, no offense to Mares but in so many spots Darchinyan was able to outbox him and he really didn't impress me in the rematch against Agbeko. Personally I think Oscar knows Mares would lose.
