Was it wrong that Raheem didn't get the Pacquiao Shot over Morales?

Others also mentioned Floyd in this thread but I know who the TS is and I know he is a Floyd fan and that he has no intentions of starting this thread to say something good about Manny.
Like I said at the start of this .... A Floyd fan who starts another Manny "should have" thread should NOT be calling anyone obsessed .... because I think you are the one who is obsessed, buddy!
People like you just like to comment that way just to deflect on what was said.
You were OK with starting a thread about Manny not fighting Raheem 6 years ago but as soon as someone attacked your hero Floyd for fighting the loser as his NEXT fight ..... you got all defensive and sensitive on us.

I actually did make a thread about it over at doghouseboxing.com years ago. No revision hereOthers also mentioned Floyd in this thread but I know who the TS is and I know he is a Floyd fan and that he has no intentions of starting this thread to say something good about Manny.

Well if you want to talk about the HBO commentary team then listen to them during Morales vs Manny II at around the 5th round.Originally posted by motoriserPeople need to check their dates first before spouting anymore theories.
Raheem signed to fight Funeka 3 years after he had outclassed Morales.
So there was 36 month period which Pacman simply chose other opponents and squeezed in 2 more fights against Morales which was unnecessary.
Maybe one fight was okay but they should have moved on since there was no need for a Rubber match.
After the Morales rematch he could have taken on Raheem but it was a no goer coz his style was all bad for Pacman.
Just watch how the HBO commentary team from Lampley to Steward all loudly said Pacman should not fight Raheem coz he was a bad style match up for him.
Morales was doing well and had the momentum and the commentators were saying that Manny was better off at 126 than at 130 and Morales was the bigger man.
Again, Manny had just come up to 130 and lost to Morales. Yet you expect Manny to jump another division? Manny went on to fight Morales, Barrera, Marquez while Raheem went on to lose 2 of 4.
This Raheem thing is just Floyd fans trying to hoodwink those who don't know what happened.Comment

There is nothing wrong with it, Raheem didn't prove anything after beating Morales to show he was a great fighter, and Pacquiao was a division below him and remained there for years after, which everyone seems to overlook.
Morales-Raheem was one of those situations where Morales had no business taking that fight against that type of opponent in a division he'd never fought at as a showcase before the Pacquiao rematch. One of the worst cases of matchmaking in boxing history. Morales was definately looking past Raheem focused on the Pacquiao rematch and could not have taken the fight seriously.
In any case, Pacquiao-Morales was an exciting fight and fans wanted a rematch, not to mention Pacquiao and Morales both wanted it aswell as it was the biggest money fight available to both and Pacquiao needed it for his legacy.
If Pacquiao hadn't taken the rematch, these type of threads today would instead be on how Pacquiao ducked a rematch vs "his daddy" Morales, and the implications would be much worse than not having fought a guy like Raheem who was just a footnote in boxing history for that one Morales fight and whose career and legacy will hold little significance in the annals of boxing, let alone on Pacquiao's career.Last edited by Fighting Pride; 04-07-2012, 03:48 AM.Comment

This turbo is a massive Floyd diehard. He starts threads about Pac to divert attention away from what Floyd should be doing with his career and should be concentrating on Floyd and making threads on Floyd. But he dont want the spotlight on Floyd.Others also mentioned Floyd in this thread but I know who the TS is and I know he is a Floyd fan and that he has no intentions of starting this thread to say something good about Manny.

But if you then say there are more threads about Pac, turbotime will get defensive and say no there isnt - more people like talking about Floyd as hes bigger. So full of contradictions.
Bottom line, it is Floyd fans starting threads about Pac.Last edited by hugh grant; 04-07-2012, 12:18 PM.Comment

****** idiot. Why should Pac fight Raheem after the Morales fight when he lost to Frietas big time. lolOriginally posted by motoriserPeople need to check their dates first before spouting anymore theories.
