Mayweather retired Hernandez....and then paid for his funeral....

We don't know that he paid for his funeral. We know that he publicized an offer to pay. But most likely, the funeral was paid for either by insurance, or by Bob Arum, who had been quietly paying for all of Hernandez' expensive chemotheraphy treatments for years, as well as supporting the whole family. Maybe that's why Mayweather made his so public announcement, because he suddenly found out about Arum's secret charity.

All on the quiet, never mentioned a word about it. Thats the REAL way, not look for PR opportunities. It just makes Mayweather more de****able. Why didn't he send him some money, as he'd promised he would, when he was alive, and could use it??

Genaro's was for the Lineal title too dumb f**k. He was coming off wins over Nelson, Alexandrov, C. Hernandez, and Gerena going into the Floyd fight. He was the man at 130. His only loss prior had come against Oscar at 135 years earlier. Both were good wins against the top guy in that division.

nobody paid attention to floyd? LOL, he was fighting on national tv (abc) even before his tenth fight as a pro. became a p4p fighter 2 years in fighting bums and nobody was paying attention to him? thats an overstatetement IMO, not a single fighter has had that luxury yet, atleast not the ones fighting outside the great AMERICA!

Maybe not, but there is some circumstances and depending what one looks for. I might agree that Hernandez win might be better for Floyd. But, I don't think it's by much. I never thought about this question. I have to give it more thought. It's a good question IMO.
