Yep, came here to ask the same exact question.

In Mayweather-Judah, two intentional fouls happened. One low blow, then a rabbit punch right after the low blow while Floyd was ducking down in pain. Refs job is to call time to give the hurt fighter time to recover from the low blow.

And Floyd melee happened during time out. It still could've been a DQ but it's not exactly the same.

It doesn't matter if it was a time out. The round is still going. The round isn't over. You still can't go in the ring. If you do you surrender the fight for your fighter.

The trainer might have threw off the ref count. But, that's on the timekeeper for ringing bell. He is not suppose to ring the bell. Once the bell was wrong the cornerman has every right to go inside that ring and help his fighter.

He can NOT lose precious seconds he has 60 seconds and 60 seconds only to help his fighter recover. And, it in the rule for him to get those 60 seconds. Once that bell rings those 60 seconds is counting down.

By the letter of the rule Floyd should have been DQ'd and there is no defending that. Going by the letter of the rule. Now common sense it would have been wrong in so many level to DQ Floyd.

By the letter of the rule Molina should NOT have been DQ'd.

The ref ultimately determines when the action starts and stops, not the guy who rings the bell.

Not true at all. The Timekeeper decides when the round is over or not. Not the ref. That's why he is called get this "THE TIMEKEEPER" because he keeps the time of the round and break not the ref.

The timekeeper is not suppose to ring the bell when the count is going. Once he rings the bell the round is over and the cornerman can come in.

The ref saying time doesn't dictate the round is over. What it dictates is for the timekeeper to hold on the time. Once he says resume the timekeeper starts the time. But, once the 3:00 minute mark hits and the time keeper rings the bell the round ends and once he rings the bell the round starts.

The cornerman can't go in while it's on "time" or the round is going. The cornerman can go in once the round is over. The bell is when the round is over.

              Floyd is really 40-2.

He'll never reach the legendary 46-0 mark.

I got a question then, what does "the fighter cannot be saved by the bell" indicate? I thought the bell could still could ring while the ref is counting but it cannot save the fighter???
