That's strange 'cause I haven't seen anything close to a rational statement about the sport from you.Comment

Also, how come you've skipped Jabs post to focus on me?Comment

How does everyone know who would've won a rematch? Simply being a favourite against someone doesn't mean you automatically win, this was pretty evident in their actual fight. He should've went after a rematch and it's not like he took on more challenging competition instead.
Exactly. Couple that with the fact that Byrd took the fight on 10 days notice....
I think Vitaly would have won, but it would have been worthwhile to rematch because one, its avenging a loss. Two, to quiet the critics who had labeled him a quitter. Three, because it was a good fight to have for his resume. And 4, because he said he would get his title back. I just think it looks bad that both brothers didn't seek rematches with the styles that troubled them most preferring to let the more suitable take care of the others business.Comment

I never claimed it wasn't a defeat (reading is difficult, yes?), but Lampley (a fantastic guy BTW) calling it a "gift" for Byrd just suits so perfectly I had to comment on it. He summed up the fight in one second better than all haters can in hundred pages of flaming.
I switched over to you because you're one guy really great for a laugh unlike Jab who actually puts forward boxing and background knowledge.Comment

Hun, can you try to create a post without using any smilies at one time? Then maybe you would be taken seriously just once.

You're always going on about how your boys were robbed. They lost fair and square. Deal with it. The sooner you come to terms and accept their defeats instead've making pathetic nuthuggery excuses, the sooner you won't have me and all laughing and refuting your lunacies.

Yeah, claiming Vitali promised Byrd a rematch and then taking the claim back is a total exposure for me.Comment

Not only is this a beating by official boxing standards, Its a beating in every sense word.
-2 distinct cuts above the eye,
-2 distinct cuts on the cheek
-Busted lip
-Bruised Black eye
-Internal bleeding from the mouth

I doubt Foreman even made a hospital visit when he surrendered to Ali. This was a true beating in every sense of the word: Physically, mentally, visually, but most importantly: Officially.Comment

I love how you put beat in quotations marks.

And you haven't answered my question in the other thread, please do so in the next time.Comment
