And why chase paper titles the real fans know who are the best fighters, guess Floyd ain't interested in fighting them though.

But why make excuses for Floyd not taking this fight?

You don't want to see this fight happen?
paper title? Cotto is ranked #1 at the weight.

Next to the Pacquiao fight, this fight is considered by many and all knowledgeable fans to be Mayweather's toughest fight out there.

But do you really think Floyd takes any interest on what his detractors say about him when choosing an opponent?

Do you think he should take the Martinez fight?

          Was referring to Alvarez's title.

Floyd is a small light middle but he will weigh in around 150+ for a fight at that weight, and he will have just beating Cotto at that weight.

There is no excuse for Floyd for taking this fight, if he really wants to fight the best, or even the 2nd best.
Pacquaio is not that much smaller than Mayweather. Pacquaio goes into fight night around 147/148. Mayweather also goes into the fight typically anywhere between 147-150 lbs. That is not a significant difference.

Martinez is too big for BOTH Pacquiao and Mayweather. Martinez would have quite the size advantage, being able to inflate up to 175 lbs or more on fight night. And Martinez is strong. Both fighters would be fools to fight Martinez, where he's going to have such a physical advantage all while bringing absolutely nothing to the table financially. It's high risk with very little reward. The general public does not care for such a fight.

The fight does not make business sense and it does not make physical sense.

Oh yeah that is another one of Floyd's favourties, and he has been knocked out before.

Or maybe he use the "where was Martinez back in 1999 when I was dominating?

No, he would be a fool to do so. It's very high risk for very little reward. He might as well fight Paul Spadafora while he's at it too if that's the case, to avenge his sparring session "loss."

And you say many fans, are you kidding yourself? Many fans do not know who the hell Martinez is. He's so unknown that the infamous Larry Merchant, one of Mayweather's greatest haters, said that Martinez would be lucky to get a 10% purse for fighting Floyd. Many fans do NOT want to see Mayweather vs. Martinez.

Many fans (and I'm talking about the millions of casual fans) want to see Mayweather vs. Pacquaio, and that's it.

You *******s suffer from a disease called selective amnesia.Pacquiao fought Margarito at 150,Sergio Martinez is willing to come down to 150 to fight Pac and Pac is avoiding Martinez cause Martinez is not a dum straight forward brawler, so your ******* excuses is lame.

You *******s want Floyd to take the biggest risk hoping that he loses so you people can say he was exposed while Pacquaio weight drains fighters, fights fighters who are washed up,old and fights brawlers who are easy to hit but you Pac-tards are fine with that cause it puts Manny in almost no danger of getting beat.

If Floyd fights Martinez and beats him you people are gonna say Martinez was old or Martinez was overated,he struggled with Darren Barker,Mathew Hatton etc.

While Pac-roids is gonna continue to get gift decisions cause he can`t find no more fighters to weight drain.

You really think Martinez is going to put on 21lbs in 36 hours, if he does it will do him more harm than good.

Pacquiao is about 5-7lbs lighter naturally than Mayweather and Mayweather is about 5-7lbs lighter naturally than Martinez.

Martinez might have about an 8lbs weight advantage over Floyd if they fight at 154lbs.

Is that too much for Floyd.

But kudos on another excuse Floyd might use.
