    But come on Bomber,

I don't see anyone complaining about Taylor being on the list. His resume does not impress me over Hatton's and he did JUST that as Hatton... the only difference, Taylor got a controversial win over Hopkins and Hatton made Tszyu quit.

Difference is... An American beat an American Vs. A European beat another European who now lives in Australia

    Again...

If Corrales is on the list and so is Taylor.. Hatton definitely needs to be on the top 10.

I see someone has already pointed out that logic in previous posts.
Apologies for repeating, but glad to agree

hes performed two incredible feats in his past two fights:

he beat a modern legend in his hometown in one of the biggest upsets of the year.

and he suffered two cuts on his way to defeating another upset fighter to unify two of the four 140lb titles.

those two feats alone give him the right to be in the p4p list.

If Lacy should be top 10 P4P because of the way He destroys his opponents, then I believe Hatton should too. Hatton should be somewhere around top 10.

right after he beats cal***gy, i will agree with you.

if destroying ur opponent is p4p material (regardless of who that opponent is), then that means that mike tyson and george foreman are the two greatest HWs of all time.

I'm still not getting this fully... it's such an ethereal concept.

Surely the whole idea of p4p is to draw up a list that shows that if all boxers on the planet where the same size and weight, these would be the ten best? In which case, regardless of current accomplishments, there is NO WAY Taylor could be considered a better p4p boxer than Toney.

Also, I'm not buying this "you get the win, you take the place". It's too simplistic. For a start, the quality of the win should come into effect. Taylor grabbing a split decision in a fight where he was out on his feet for the final rounds and many considered him to lose isn't even in the same ball park as Hatton systematically beating down Tszyu and making him quit.

It's too much of a contentious issue... should accomplishments and current career trajectories be taken into it? In which case, do the list, but align it according to division rankings where fighters of the same division occur, unless proved otherwise (eg. Hatton above Mayweather, until Floyd proves otherwise) or just put them in for talent (ie. Toney) and disregard the "who have they fought?" debate altogether.

So if Calzone smacked down Lacy, would that then put Calzone in there? It's weird, because he may never have had that "big" fight (whether Lacy is a "big" fight will be determined by how effective an opponent he is in March, right? He looks good, but so far only against people who are scared of him) but he's the longest-reigning "world" champion yet isn't even within pissing distance of the list.

TheEvilSaint I was just mocking how half the teenagers here think Lacy deserves a P4P spot in the top 10.

The fact is, Hatton beat a legend in Tszyu, who I believe was #4 or #5 in the rankings before the loss. This in itself warrants Hatton to be in the top 10.

In order to be the best, you have to beat the best. Fatton did so.

I like both fighters alike, matter a fact I think Taylor has a more exciting style than Hopkins. If I had to choose between them fighting a fighter lets say Lacy,Id choose Taylor vs. Lacy over Hopkins vs. Lacy.I certainly dont think Taylor should take Hopkins place in the ranking. He has much to prove before being a worthy top 10 p4p fighter.I think its unfair for a guy to fight and beat the best for years get their place taken over by a guy who just beat 1 good fighter.Like I said there should be a top 3 or maybe even 5 list instead of 10 or 20 cause it doesnt leave much room for argument.
                      My list.....
                      1.Mayweather (most talented fighter today,undeafeted)

2.Barrera (dominant for years,Last loss to Manny other than that has been winning championship fights)(would have been Morales)

3.R.Marquez(beating all the top contenders, hard to find someone that matches him p4p)

After this there can be an invisible list of guys next in line in case 1 of the top 3 falls.
