Should Hatton be on the P4P list?

The way I see it, it looks like so:

    1 - Floyd Mayweather
    2 - Winky Wright
    3 - Marco Antonio Barrera
    4 - Jermain Taylor
    5 - Bernard Hopkins
    6 - Manny Pacquiao
    7 - Rafael Marquez

And then there are a bunch of guys like Hatton, JM Marquez, Erik Morales, Zab Judah, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Oscar Larios, Jeff Lacy, Antonio Tarver and James Toney who could all realistically be rated in the top 10.

In my mind, the top 7 is set in stone. If I was forced to pick an 8-10, I would probably go with:

    8 - Jose Luis Castillo
    9 - Diego Corrales
    10 - Ricky Hatton

but I could definately see any of those other guys being in the top 10.

    What say you?

This is always an interesting discussion because it then relies on perception of boxing skill vs. achievements. Clearly Hatton is No.1 in his division until someone knocks him off that spot. It's easy to theorise that Mayweather would be that man, but that's all it is until they fight... theory. The same with Jeff Lacy. Like it or not, Calzone is the man in that division. At least with that one we'll get a clearer picture come March...

Hatton should be before Corrales or Castillo, neither of whom I think deserve on the list. Hatton beat Tszyu so I guess throw him on the bottom of the list.

This is the way I see it, if Corrales is top 10, Hatton needs to be on it!

Calzaghe only holds the weakest of the 4 titles, and the Ring Magazine has always listed 168's top spot as VACENT, and rightfully so.

wtf is all this nonesense?think of all the TOP guys Castillo and Corrales have fought thru out the years.Hatton needs to come to America to even be considered a top 10.He beat an old Tzyu and a guy that got a belt cause he got lucky.Hatton is a good fighter but he in my eyes has not proven to be top 10 P4P material. He certainly has some qualities that may rule the division but hasnt fought enough top quality opponents. His time will come to prove to me if he deserved that right but at this moment he isnt.I was reading some other sites and some guys are saying that with this win he is the best boxer on the planet.

I think James Toney should be in there.

exactly carnal, hatton has proved nothing to me . how the hatton fans make him out to be the best p4p is sicking! and to those who think hatton deserves to be ahead of corrales check out whos corrales fought and look at who hatton has fought.
                  corrales -- hatton
                  castillo twice --- tszyu
                  freitas
                  cassamayor twice
                  floyd mayweather

Oh my bad...yea Taylor should probably be #1.

If Hatton is 10 then Taylor should be 9 or 10?
