Martinez is a fully fledged middleweight.... I don't know how anyone can dispute that.

Quite easily. Just look at his frame. Compare it to the last few middleweight champions - Hopkins, Taylor, Pavlik. Sergio is small compared to those guys.

He only moved to middleweight because no one would fight him at 154 now everyone wants him to move up again?

        what a joke

just excuses. Manny is suppose to go up to meet him although he is too big for manny. He is ridiculed, but he cannot go up to meet ward, bute.I though he fought pavlik, barker. He knows the level of competition is much different.Pound for pound to me means he can go from weight class to weight class and still be the class of the game.Staying in one class to me is not pound for pound

          See, I told you so.

JCC JR likes to call out small welterweights. But too cowardly to move up in weight himself.

          A coward and a hypocrite.

Well, he must have been a right greedy twat to make 170 then on fight night lol
this is why Pac or PBF have no business in the ring with Martinez..he comes in rehydrating to 170..while Floyd and Pac come in at around 150..that is precisely too much weight..I still see a possible match up with PBF/Martinez at 154..but I dont fault either Pac or Floyd for not fighting him..the size is just too much..
Sergio can fight Ward at a catch weight if he wants to challenge himself..their weight on fight night is much closer verses Pac or PBF...its really sad hes so desperate for a payday, he should unify his division instead..

pac weighs under 150 for his fight nite fights,
              martinez weighs atleast 170,
thats a little over 20 lb difference advantage for martinez...
so ur saying ward fights at a little over 190 on fight nite?
whatever the case, then i dont see anything wrong with anyone else wanting to see a martinez/ward fight when team martinez have called out mayweather, and even worse, a smaller pac.

this dibellend dudes a joke, if they cant fight 168ers, them mayweather pacquaio cant fight a natural middleweight. martinez cant go to 147 cuz his drained there and lost to that bum margarito.

The name of this site should be "B!tch!nscene" because the posters do on here is B!tch and moan. How is Sergio Martinez picking on lil guys when Pac's B!tch @ss fought bum @ss, cheating Antonio Margarito for Martinez's 154 title (he was stripped for) at a 150 catch weight? Floyd fought and beat Oscar for the WBC title at 154. How is Sergio trying to pick on smaller fighters when he can still make 154 and was a champion there? Sergio never fought at 168, so why all the hate? Dude is a small middle weight at 160. Never read so many posts from fans of fighters who protect their guy so much and come up with so many excuses.

That was a middle weight fight. How did he weigh this past weekend against Macklin? The funny thing is that, Floyd ain't saying that he would not fight Martinez. Only Arum/Pac did.

Thats where the whole argument falls apart. Sergio is willing to COME DOWN to fight these guys at weights where they have fought before.

If Andre Ward or Bute say "We'll come down to 160", only then can you start making a comparison.
