Doing Dzinzurik's bidding? LOL wtf are you talking about? Dzinzurik moved up in weight to challenge Sergio much like Ricky Hatton moved up to challenge Mayweather at 147. Both kept their titles at the lower weights in case they lost so it was a safety net.
If you're saying him being muscle bound has nothing to do with his frame you seem to be the one that has a problem comprehending what a person's frame is. Howse about I take some of the mental load off of you and explain it for you. Sergio Martinez has a muscle bound frame. Get it? And no I don't think that Sergio Martinez and Bernard Hopkins ARE the same size. Hopkins is now a 175 lb fighter and Martinez fights at 160 lbs. So no they ARE not the same size. But when Hopkins was fighting at the same weight as Martinez is now his FRAME was less muscularly bulky than Martinez's is at the same weight. Martinez has all of the leverage so he is fighting at the weight that he wants to fight at. If 154 is his natural weight division and thats where he feels most comfortable fighting at he would fight Dzinzurik at that weight since he would get to keep his middle weight title if he were to lose and if he prefers that weight. Obviously he preferred to fight at middle weight. That's wtf I'm talking about. And the Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather analogy is asinine. Floyd Mayweather was never claiming that he was a natural junior welter weight as Martinez is claiming to be a natural junior middle weight. Come again my friend.

Whats asinine is suggesting that everyone at a certain weight is exactly the same size. How can anyone suggest the dimensions of a man like Hopkins are exactly the same as Sergio. Oh and don't be pedantic to try and score points, Im talking about when they were both at 160.

Floyd Mayweather isn't really a natural welterweight. Hes a smaller welterweight compared to someone like Margarito for example. Or are they the same size in your eyes? LOL. He probably could have made 140 if he wanted to but Mayweather had no reason to move down to fight Hatton, just like there was no reason for Martinez to move down to fight Dzinzurik. Why cut weight if you don't have to and Dzinzurik wanted to challenge for the MW title. What part of this don't you get?

If a man is bigger than he can't be as skilled ie Pavlik and Chavez.
Would you be happy if he said he would fight Ward and Bute at 154-160 , thats what Pac would say and the kids would rejoice and call Ward and Bute chickens .

Your right in dimension is not parallel to size in boxing because weight is also about density , not all bone and muscle weighs the same , you have guys with different bone wall thickness and muscle is made up of different fat water muscle compositions and people vary in how theirs is made up .

Hatton went for Floyds title because it was really 2 JWWs on the night not WWs they knew Floyd was very small and said it a few times in the press that Ricky is bigger and he was on the night being 153 to Floyds 152 , so to them there was no size advantage to Floyd if they fight for his WW title , they both weighed on the night what both have weighed during their JWW fights .

The other reason was so that if Ricky lost they still hold a JWW title !

Yep. The guy Im responding to thinks Martinez is the same size as Hopkins, Pavlik and Taylor were as middleweights. I really dont even know why I continued responding after reading that tbh.

Now its about them being "exactly the same size"? This started with me saying that he has a more muscularly built frame than certain middle weight fighters that you mentioned. I never said anything about anyone's dimensions being the same as anyone else's. I'm simply debunking this horse ***** about Martinez being too small to fight Andre Ward and him being a junior middle weight. And Margarito is the guy who had been killing himself to make weight for years so he is definitely not a good example. But him coming down to that weight puts him in the same risk as any fighter who over cuts weight. He mastered the art of fighting under starvation. And if cutting weight is a burden on him then he must be too big to fight in that weight division. This is common sense. Mayweather wasnt trying to go down in weight. Martinez is. Why should it matter what Dzinzurik wanted. It was about what Martinez wanted.
